Revolution Skincare: Cica Serum & Cream Review

Wednesday 6 November 2019

Revolution Beauty, as always, are killing it with their new releases - it is hard to keep up! Two of their most recent releases are the Revolution Cica Serum and the Revolution Cica Cream, which of course I am going to tell you all about in today's post.
Everyone has different ways of applying serums and moisturisers, but personally I prefer to apply a serum first and then apply my moisturiser. The Revolution Cica Serum comes in a cute glass bottle complete with a push-down applicator, which is great to control the amount of product you are using. The Cica Plant is known in Asia as Tiger Grass due to the way tigers rub their wounds on it in the wild to help their skin regenerate. Cica is known for its ability to calm irritated and inflamed skin, and so if you have particularly sensitive skin, then this range will work wonders for you. The Cica Serum contains the Cica to reduce the appearance of redness on the skin, and then Hyaluronic Acid which is great for keeping moisture locked into the skin to keep it hydrated throughout the day. You get 30ml of Serum for £10.00, which is an excellent price point, as serums can often be ten times this amount of money. I recommend applying a small amount to the skin both morning and night, by pressing it into the skin and then allowing the product to work its way into the skin for around 10 minutes before applying a moisturiser.
The Revolution Cica Cream also costs £10.00, and this time you get 50ml of moisturiser in the little glass pot. Again, you are of course getting the benefits of Cica, to soothe and calm and redness or irritability on the skin, along with Camomile and Grapeseed Oil to moisturise the skin. The cream itself is light green in colour, but once it is applied to the skin, there is no green shadow left behind. The formula is lightweight and not at all greasy, and I found that it melted into my skin instantly, and for those that don't like an overpowering scent with their skincare, then this would work really well for you, as even though there is the tiniest hint of a fresh fragrance there, you really cannot tell once you massage it into the skin. I love using moisturising cream after I have applied the serum, so again it would be morning and night, once the serum has had chance to settle into the skin. Hey, if it works for tigers' wounds, then it must be good!

All the Loves,
