Throughout the colder months, regular lip balms sometimes just don't cut it, and you need more of a treatment product. I have handpicked three of the best higher-end lip treatments that are definitely worth the splurge to keep your lips in tip top condition this Winter.
First up, we have the Kiehl's Buttermask For Lips. Kiehl's is one of my favourite skincare brands, and I talk about their products a lot here at Kathryn's Loves. They produce incredible products that give results and are made from mostly natural ingredients. The Kiehl's Buttermask For Lips is infused with Fairly Traded Coconut Oil and Wild Mango Butter and is an overnight treatment for dry lips to smooth and soften them whilst you sleep. This intensively hydrating lip mask helps to reinforce the lip moisture barrier to keep the lips visibly refreshed and helps to keep the moisture locked into the lips. The Buttermask comes in a little pot and the product itself doesn't seem to have a scent to it, so if you don't like fragranced products, then this is going to be great for you. The formula doesn't feel greasy or thick on the lips, and allows you to wake up to gorgeously soft, kissable lips. The Kiehl's Buttermask For Lips costs £22.00 for 10g, but it goes a long way and you can find it online at Kiehl's here.
This isn't a splurge as such, but I really wanted to include the Bioderma Atoderm Moisturising Stick, as it is such an amazing product for super dry and damaged lips. This daily moisturising and soothing stick for the lips comes in a traditional lip balm-style tube and has a slanted tip for easy application. The Atoderm Moisturising Stick contains highly nourishing Shea Butter, which biologically repairs and regenerates weakened lips, to keep them soft and supple. This does have a slight raspberry fragrance to it, which I didn't expect with it being clear and having quite clean packaging, but it is actually quite pleasant and refreshing. If you have super damaged, dry or sensitive lips, then this is definitely the product for you, and I would recommend applying as often as necessary throughout the day and before bedtime. You get 4g of product and the Atoderm Moisturising Stick costs just £5.50, which is excellent value and you can find it online at Feel Unique here.
My next option not only treats the lips, but adds a hint of natural colour to them too. The IT Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment helps to smooth and awaken the lips whilst also giving them a naturally pretty flush of pink. This colour-infused lip reviver is created with essential butters and oils, as well as hyaluronic acid and antioxidants, to keep the moisture and hydration locked into the lips. This Lip Treatment comes in a gorgeous blush pink metal tube, and the lid is magnetised, so that it snaps back on and doesn't come off in your handbag. The formula is soft and hydrating, without being thick or tacky on the lips and I find it super comfortable to wear. Once applied to the lips, the Treatment works with your natural pH balance and create your perfect pink lip shade to add a pop of colour to the lips whilst also keeping them super hydrated. The IT Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment costs £23.00 for 3.4g and you can find it online at IT Cosmetics here.
All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
