Huda Beauty Nude Medium Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

Friday, 13 December 2019

I got a little spend-happy when I was at the Glamour Beauty Festival in Manchester last month, and there was a Huda Beauty stand. I live in a small town, and even when I have gone out of town, I personally haven't come across a Huda Beauty concession stand and gotten to play with the products. Huda Beauty's newest release is the Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Light, Medium and Rich colourways and I had a little play with the different shades and picked up the Medium version.
In person, for me, the Light option was a little wishy washy, and had lilacs and pinks in it, which didn't scream nude to me, and Rich was stunning, but too dark for my skin tone as an everyday palette. The Medium version blew me away, and was different to anything I already owned, even though it is classed as a nude palette.
The Huda Beauty Nude Medium Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette has a faux snakeskin lid, which you then open up to reveal nine shadows - five mattes and four shimmer/metallics and a mirror on the inside of the lid. There are some slightly pink shades in this too, but they are definitely a lot warmer and more wearable than in the Light palette. The shades aren't individually named, so I will do my best to give you a real-time description...Going from left to right, top to bottom...
* Toffee Nude Matte
* Bronze Metallic Shimmer
* Terracotta Matte
* Pink Peach Matte
* Bronze Metallic with Pink Sparkle
* Chocolate Matte
* Rose Pink Metallic
* True Nude Pink Matte
* Colour Shifting Pink Nude Sparkle
The metallic/shimmer shades feel like a dream, and the formula is buttery soft, making them super easy to apply and comfortable to wear. I am also really impressed with the matte formula too - they are really pigmented and blend so well and the amount of looks you can create with this palette is endless. I think it is such a delightful Autumnal palette, but with those lighter shades in there, you can also use it year round.

The Huda Beauty Nude Medium Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette costs £27.00, which isn't the cheapest for such a small palette, but it is handy to travel with and her larger palettes are more than double this price. You can find it online at Feel Unique here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
