Lime Crime Bushy Brow Products Review

Monday 9 December 2019

If you read Kathryn's Loves often, you may have seen me mention how naturally terrible my eyebrows are. They are super fine, and always have been, and they are quite light too. I have tried having brow treatments done, apart from tattooed brows, and nothing really seems to make much of a difference, so it is best for me to carry on the search for great brow products. Last month I went to the Glamour Beauty Festival in Manchester and there was a Lime Crime concession stand there, as they are now available in Boots and there I was introduced to the Lime Crime Bushy Brow products.
The lady who colour-matched me up was so lovely and friendly, and I found her super helpful. She applied the products to my brows in front of a mirror and then asked if I wanted to try the opposite brow to the one she had done. My brows instantly looked so much fuller and even verging on bushy, which is a miracle for my brows. I was sold! The first item we applied is the Lime Crime Bushy Brow Strong Hold Gel in the shade Baby Brown (£16.50)

The Lime Crime Bushy Brow Strong Hold Gel is available in seven different shades, including a clear version, so you should definitely be able to find something that matches your hair. It comes in a pastel pink tube and has a super fine brush on the end of a long, easy to hold handle. The Strong Hold Gel does what it says, and holds the brow hairs in place all day long - my brows were kept looking their best until it was time to remove my makeup at the end of the day. I love that the brush is so fine, because even with my hairs, it manages to grab each one and add a little something to it, whereas some brow gel brushes can really be quite big, and therefore don't really make much of a difference. The shade Baby Brown is a medium brown and it suits my light skin tone and highlighted hair really well, as I am brunette naturally.
To fill out my extremely sparse brows, we then used the Lime Crime Bushy Brow Precision Pen (£18.50), which is available in five shades this time, and I went for Baby Brown again to match the Gel. The Precision Pen comes in pen-like lilac packaging and has a thin-as-a-pin precision brush, which is so easy to use. I have used products like this before and they don't seem to give much of a result, but the ink on this one is really pigmented and sets in place almost instantaneously, and will not budge at all. You can create hair-like strokes with this pen, which is perfect for fine, patchy brows like mine, as you can really go to town filling them in, without them looking scary, or over-full. This particular product makes such a difference to my brows and I am obsessed with it.
You can find Lime Crime online at Boots here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
