Latest In Beauty The 2020 LiB Beauty Resolutions Box Review + Contents

Saturday 8 February 2020

I LOVE a new Latest in Beauty box, as there is nothing else remotely similar for value for money, product size and variety on the market. Their recent offering is the 2020 LiB Beauty Resolutions Box, which includes 14 products (worth over £152) that the LiB team have put together to help you achieve your beauty goals in 2020. Let's see what's inside...
First up is the Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque (14ml deluxe travel size. Full size 75ml £19.50), which I have tried previously and I am always on board for anything Kiehl's as their products include natural ingredients and work as they say they will. This mask eliminates debris from the skin to reveal visibly minimised pores and a clearer, brighter looking complexion.
We then have the Sport FX Blend & Go Sponge (Full size, £4.99), which is a unique 8-sided makeup blending sponge, which can be used with powders, creams and liquids. I am a stickler for my Beauty Blender, but it will be interesting to try this out, as due to the different sides, I think this will be great for getting into smaller areas.
I haven't previously heard of the brand, but we then have the Ashanti Cosmetics 15 Shades Of Pink Pomegranate Face Cream (60ml full size, RRP £25.00). The packaging is so pretty, and the cream, which also has a balm-like texture to it comes in a glass jar, which reminded me of something you would find at an apothecary. The Ashanti Face Cream soothes, hydrates and protects the skin from dark spots and acne while delivering a glow to it.
I love that LiB have included something for the mummies or mummies-to-be with the Little Butterfly London Dewdrops At Dawn Body Lotion (200ml full size, RRP £23.50). This hydrating, creamy organic-certified and dermatologist-approved body lotion nurtures and protects even the most sensitive, dry and eczema-prone skin. It smells heavenly, and even though it has been designed for babies, you can of course use it on yourself too. I love that this has a push down applicator, so that it is super easy to take some of the product out.
Next up is the Kind Natured Shea & Aloe Cleansing Face Wash (200ml full size, RRP £3.99), which smells both fresh and creamy. I don't personally like to use this kind of face wash, as I prefer a cleanser. However, this is great if you have sensitive skin, and will work at removing makeup, whilst soothing the skin as it contains both aloe vera leaf juice and shea butter. I think this would be great for a teenager, or someone who is just starting out with their skincare.
The Patchology Moodpatch Keep Smiling Lip Gel (Full size, RRP £3.00) is not only super pretty looking, but also super fun. Take some time out for yourself, and apply this gel lip mask to the lips for around 10 minutes, sit back and relax. The mask itself contains lavender petal and violet and have a soothing aromatic scent to them. Perfect for getting your pout looking great for Valentine's Day!
We then have another new brand and product to myself, the Slow Ageing Essential Facial Essence (5ml, Deluxe sample size, RRP £22.00). This is an award-winner and is a pure and potent elixir which contains three active ingredient systems, delivers a surge of vitality to the skin, energy and radiance. It comes in a little glass bottle with a glass dropper applicator and you just add a couple of drops onto the face and massage gently into the skin.
Anything bath-related is always a winner for me, so I cannot wait to use the Senspa Sleep Therapy Bath Soak (50ml travel size, full size 250ml £5.95). This bath soak contains essential oils of bergamot, patchouli and geranium with added organic lavender, and so it smells very spa-like and relaxing.
Something I have never tried is a shampoo bar, as I have only really come across them in Lush, so I am looking forward to trying the Biovene Barcelona Shampoo-In-A-Bar (75g full size, RRP £9.95). You will receive one of two fragrances, and I received Citrus Dream. This 75g shampoo bar states that it can provide you with up to 75 washes! Which is amazing, and it says that the bar can last as long as three bottles of regular shampoo. I am also obsessed with the fresh, citrus fragrance too.
To take care of the eyes, LiB have included the Murad Renewing Eye Cream (4ml, sample size - full size 15ml £65.00). This is the smallest size of the collection, however eye creams are often much smaller sized anyway, and it is still nearly a third of the full size. The Murad Renewing Eye Cream is a triple-benefit eye treatment that treats and prevents under-eye damage, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, while improving elasticity, dark circles and puffiness.
The Lebon Rhythm Is Love Whitening Toothpaste (75ml, full size RRP £21.00) is definitely one of the fanciest toothpastes I have come across! This is a toothpaste designed to evoke balance and serenity and has a sweet formula which blends refreshing mint with ylang ylang and yuzu while papaya extracts work to gently lift away stains and brighten your tushy pegs. I have certainly never tried anything like this before, nor have I spent over £10.00 on a toothpaste, so this is a real treat to receive.
I have used the Feather & Down Sweet Dreams Pillow Spray (50ml, deluxe travel size, RRP £3.50) many times before and it is definitely one of my favourite sleep sprays. This Pillow Spray helps to relieve an anxious mind and encourage calm to aid a restful night's sleep. The formula contains essential oils of lavender and chamomile, and so not only does it help you drift off to sleep easier, but it also smells dreamy too.
Burt's Bees are definitely pros when it comes to lip balms, and LiB have included the Wild Cherry Moisturising Lip Balm (4.25g full size, £3.99) in this collection. I adore the Wild Cherry fragrance and I find Burt's Bees lip balms very nourishing and moisturising, and with them being made from 100% natural ingredients, they are suitable for the majority of skin types.
Last, but of course not least, we have a generous sample size of the Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment (28g, RRP £10.00). Living Proof are a great luxe haircare brand and this deep conditioning treatment will help to repair dry, damaged hair while protecting future damage and strengthening hair, to become 20x more resistant to breakage. Perfect for this time of year, when our hair is forever out in the cold weather and then going inside to central heating.
All in all, this is an excellent box once again from Latest in Beauty and it costs a bargainous £28.00, saving you over £100, which is incredible. I unboxed this on my Instagram (kathrynsloves) and I received so many messages asking for the link! You can find it online at Latest in Beauty here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
