Pat McGrath Eye Ecstasy Sublime Eye Shadow Palette + Mini Lip Fetish Lip Balm Trio Review + Swatches

Wednesday 12 February 2020

I didn't get a whole bunch of presents for Christmas as I preferred to have spending money for Orlando in December, but a couple of makeup items that I did receive are the Pat McGrath Eye Ecstasy Sublime Eye Shadow Palette and the Pat McGrath Mini Lip Fetish Lip Balm Trio. Pat McGrath makeup items are pretty pricey, but these two seemed to be much more reasonable to me, due to them not being full-sized.
The Pat McGrath Eye Ecstasy Sublime Eye Shadow Palette isn't full sized as I just mentioned, but you still get a good amount of product inside, and whoever finishes an eye shadow palette anyway?! Both items come in the most gorgeous packaging, full of gold sequins, and the palette itself is a frosted plastic, so it isn't as luxe as their larger palettes, but it still looks pretty cool. There are five shadows included in this palette, and they are all metallic. You receive an antique gold, a chocolate brown, a rose gold, a rusty red and a lighter brown. The formula is so buttery, and if you haven't tried out Pat McGrath's eyeshadow formula before, then this is a great place to start. Just one swipe gives you the full effect, and these really are super gorgeous eyeshadows. The Eye Ecstasy Sublime Palette costs £22.00, which compared to the full sized palettes at £115.00, this is a really good buy. There is also another colour option, which includes bright colours, which I think would be stunning for Spring and Summer. I am so glad I received this, as I do have a larger quad palette, and they are honestly one of the best shadow formulas on the market, and the shades are often so unique.
The second gift I received is the Pat McGrath Mini Lip Fetish Lip Balm Trio, which again comes in amazing packaging, full of glittery sequins. You receive two sheer colour balms and one clear balm, however the sheer colour still gives plenty of coverage in my opinion. There is Blow Up, a peachy nude and Flesh 3, more of a reddy nude shade - I am terrible at describing colours! The Lip Balms come in white packaging, with the gold Pat McGrath lip accent which is featured on all of their lip products. For a full-sized lipstick from Pat McGrath, you are looking at £37.00 each, however this trio costs just £19.00, so once again it is a great introductory set if you are new to the brand. The Balms are super creamy and soft on the lips, and as soon as you apply them, your lips feel so much more nourished and hydrated. You can also get gloss trios, and matte lipstick trios for the same price and I definitely think I will be picking another set up.
You can find Pat McGrath online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
