If your hair isn't currently 75% dry shampoo, are you even doing lockdown right? In all seriousness, I use dry shampoo every single week without fail, as my hair tends to look slightly oily at the roots, and a quick spritz of dry shampoo can work wonders. Lee Stafford have recently released the Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo Blending Brush* (£10.99), which I think is such a fantastic idea!
I find that whichever dry shampoo I use, they do leave a slight cast in the hair, and some added texture, and so to blend the dry shampoo into the hair and spread out that texture, this Blending Brush works wonders. It features multiple dense rows of flexible nylon pins to lift and tease the root whilst synthetic bristle tufts help to blend the dry shampoo.
When using dry shampoo, my regular hair brush does tend to get little bits of built-up dry shampoo in it, and that is another reason why it makes so much sense to have a separate dry shampoo blending brush. The handle is comfortable to use, and is a soft-touch silicone type material so it doesn't slip out of your hand whilst using it. I find that the combination of bristles really help to keep my hair super soft and smooth, and that I don't get that dry shampoo build up on my scalp anymore, which did tend to dry it out and gave a slight cast.
To go with the Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo Blending Brush, I was kindly sent the Lee Stafford Keep It Clean Dry Shampoo* (£5.49 for 200ml). Lee Stafford offer a variety of different dry shampoos and so there will be an option for all hair types. The Keep It Fresh Dry Shampoo contains mineral-rich Pink Clay and this texturising dry shampoo acts as a magnet to oil and dirt to keep the hair feeling fresher and cleaner throughout the day. I have quite fine hair and I find that this is much more weightless in the hair than many other dry shampoos I have tried. The floral oriental fragrance it has smells like it should be made into a perfume, without it smelling too heavy or strong and masks any odour on the hair perfectly. This really is the perfect pairing!
