Antipodes Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum Review

Friday 5 February 2021

I have featured the skincare and body brand Antipodes on Kathryn's Loves many times before as I love their natural take on products. The Antipodes Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum* (£45.00) is their most recent product I have been trying out. Especially during the winter months, my skin tends to look dull and dehydrated, but this skin-brightening serum has worked wonders.

The Antipodes Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum is a fast-absorbing water-based serum and so it doesn't feel oily or greasy on the skin, nor is there any residue left over once it is pressed into the skin. This organic, vegan serum contains a potent blend of New Zealand (the brand originated in New Zealand) antioxidant-rich ingredients to revitalise the appearance of blemished, uneven-toned or dull skin. Antipodes' New Zealand Bioactives are from sustainable organic farming practices, which produce the purest ingredients for skin vitality.

Vinanza Grape & Kiwi are combined with Vinanza Oxifend pinot noir red grapes (fancy!) and mamaku black fern which help to brighten the skin and smooth out uneven skin tone. Vinanza Grape & Kiwi is clinically proven to help improve the appearance of skin by targeting redness and pigmentation, and redness, particularly on the cheek area is something I suffer from.

The Serum comes in a glass bottle with a glass pipette so that you can control the amount of product you are releasing and the formula is a light brown colour, but this doesn't transfer onto the skin. As far as I can tell, this is fragrance free and so if that is something that is important to you with skincare, then this will be perfect for you. Personally, I don't normally mind a fragrance or products that don't have a fragrance, but I know it can be a problem for some.

Both morning and night, I dispense a few drops onto my face and neck and gently pat the product into my skin, and I find that it sinks straight in, without having any residue or oil remaining. I like to use serums after applying toner to my skin and then before applying moisturiser. I do tend to wait around ten minutes before applying my moisturiser, so that it gives time for the serum to sink deep into the skin.

Since using the Antipodes Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum, I have noticed that my skin feels healthier, looks brighter and my redness seems a lot less prominent. Apostle has been created for the majority of skin types and even if you have a more sensitive skin, this will work wonders for you!

You can find the Antipodes Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum online at Antipodes UK here.

Kathryn xxx
