Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Fluid Powder Foundation Review

Wednesday 24 March 2021

I have been wearing Bobbi Brown foundations for years as they are such a great, reliable, go-to brand for me. One of their recent foundation releases is the Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Fluid Powder Foundation, which I have been trying out the past few weeks so that I could share my opinion with you all.

The Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Fluid Powder Foundation is available in 28 shades, which I think is a good amount, and I opted for C-036 Cool Sand. I really don't like buying foundation online but obviously due to the current situation, we have no other choice. I remember being the shade Cool Sand in one of the other formulas, so I figured it would be my safest bet. Cool Sand is a light beige with pink undertones for light skin-tones.

The Foundation retails for £28.00 for 40ml, which is a really good price point for Bobbi Brown I feel. Most foundations across the beauty world come in 30ml bottles and tubes, but you get 40ml here, and this one comes in a squeezy tube which I don't mind at all. This is a sheer foundation that has excellent skincare ingredients and is best used on an oily skin. My skin goes through phases where sometimes it is really rather oily, sometimes super dry and sometimes inbetween. Recently though it has been oily which is why I wanted a foundation for when my skin is going through that stage.

This is a liquid-to-powder foundation, hence why it is great for oily skin types and it dries into a comfortable, soft-matte finish. It is formulated with Bobbi Brown's Power Protein Complex to keep the skin smooth and healthy. The formula is lightweight and is sweat-resistant and is able to control oil so that your makeup stays in place throughout the day. I don't know about you, but when my skin is in its oily phase, normally I really struggle with my makeup keeping put, whereas this really does help to keep it in place.

The Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Fluid Powder Foundation also helps to protect the skin from environmental aggressors, blue light and UV filters, with an SPF 20. It is so important to always apply SPF every single day, but having it in your makeup is a nice added bonus. As I mentioned, this is a lightweight, sheer foundation, so you aren't going to get full coverage from it, but recently I have been using lighter coverage foundations as they don't seem to transfer onto my face covering as much. I believe this is going to be such a summer staple for me as I especially don't like wearing full-coverage foundations in Summer when the weather is hot and my face is oilier, and this is going to help keep my makeup looking fresh and keep it in place.

You can find the Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Fluid Powder Foundation online at Bobbi Brown.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
