Clinique My Happy Eau De Parfums Review - Baby Bouquet, Cookies & Kisses, Indigo Mist

Saturday 20 March 2021

There seems to be so many new fragrance releases at the moment, which I am absolutely not mad about! I love trying new fragrances - one of my long-time favourites are the Thierry Mugler scents, but for everyday wear I prefer something a little lighter. When I saw the new Clinique My Happy Eau De Parfums I knew I had to try them out as they sounded amazing.

These are three new additions to the Clinique My Happy range, and there is Baby Bouquet, Cookies & Kisses and Indigo Mist. Each fragrance comes in a 15ml glass bottle, with soft colours such as baby pink, soft brown and baby blue, and the size of these make them perfect for popping in your handbag for on the go. A lot of smaller-sized fragrances don't always have a spritzer to them, and so I am super glad these do as it makes them so much easier to use.

Clinique My Happy Baby Bouquet Eau De Parfum comes in baby pink packaging and contains notes of bright Mandarin, delicate Orange Flower and creamy Musk. This has been made to be a comforting scent, like the tenderness of a favourite lullaby, and it is hard to describe any other way - it has a softness to it and really does smell so comforting that you just want to snuggle up. It wasn't what I was expecting at all - with the name 'Baby' in it, I expected a more baby powder-like fragrance to it, but that isn't it. It smells slightly sweet due to the Mandarin and Orange Flower, and a little fresh, but then warming and soothing due to the musk. I like this a lot more than I imagined I would as I expected it to be floral if not a baby powder-type scent.

I expected Clinique My Happy Cookies & Kisses Eau De Parfum to smell slightly chocolatey, but that definitely isn't the case. It contains notes of Cinnamon, rich Vanilla Bean, Baked Apple and creamy Chestnuts, and reminds me of how I think a country-style kitchen would small on a Sunday afternoon. This is a warm and delicately spicy fragrance, and whilst it isn't my absolute favourite of the three, I know a lot of people will like the sweet, creaminess of this fragrance. The Clinique My Happy perfumes are designed to be worn alone or to be layered, and so I think you would be able to create some really unique fragrances by trying different ones out with each other.

The Clinique My Happy Indigo Mist Eau De Parfum comes in baby blue packaging, and contains notes of dewy Bluebells, Green Melon, Violet Leaf, Cashmeran and Orris Root. This scent reminds me of Spring, I remember at Primary School we had bluebells in the classroom and this takes me right back to that time. For me, the scent of bluebells is a very happy one and this takes it up a notch with the fresh melon, yet still having a solid base to it, without being either completely fresh or completely fruity, and that makes for a very pleasant scent. I think this is a very wearable Spring-time fragrance, and if you want something lightly fresh and floral, then this is the one I would recommend.

The Clinique My Happy Eau De Parfums retail for £19.00 each and you can find them online at Clinique.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
