Pixi Beauty +Rose Collection Review

Thursday 18 March 2021

Pixi Beauty create some of the most beautiful products, for both skincare and makeup, and once of their most recent collections is the Pixi +Rose range, and as I am such a huge Pixi fan, I just had to pick them up and try them out.

The first of four products in the collection is the Pixi +Rose Essence Oil (£24.00 for 30ml) and this glass bottle brings me so much joy and is probably one of the prettiest skincare products I have come across. It is a tri-phase nourishing essence oil which is infused with rejuvenating rose to nourish, calm and hydrate the skin. Suitable for all skin type, this lightweight oil doesn't leave any greasy residue on the skin after application and sinks into my skin almost immediately. The three main ingredients are Rose Flower Oil to nourish and rejuvenate the skin, Rose Water to balance the pH level of the skin, and which is also rich in antioxidants and Ceramide NP which releases moisture into the skin throughout the day. I like to use this both morning and night, after cleansing and toning my skin and before applying moisturiser, as it helps to really amp up the moisture in my skin. You simply give it a good shake, which turns the whole oil pink, and then use the pipette to apply a few drops into the palms of your hands, and then press gently on to the skin for instantly hydrated nourished skin all day long. As a fragrance, I am not always super keen on rose, but this doesn't have an overpowering scent whatsoever and I actually quite enjoy the sweetness.

If you have been here a while, you will know I love a multi-use product and the Pixi +Rose Radiance Perfector (£14.00 for 25ml) is just that! This squeezy tube contains a delicate pink-tinted, rose-infused complexion enhancer which helps to blur and brighten the skin to leave the complexion looking healthy and glowy, without shimmer or glitter. Suitable for all skin types, the Radiance Perfector contains Rose Water to balance the pH level of the skin, Ceramide NP to provide moisture to the skin throughout the day and Hyaluronic Acid to lock in that moisture, so it is half skincare and half makeup. You can use it as a base product, all over the skin to give it a natural, healthy glowy look or onto high points of the face such as the cheekbones, browbone, tip of the nose and cupid's bow to enhance those features. I don't really notice the scent of this when I am applying it, so again, even if you don't like the fragrance of rose, you could still absolutely use this.

A new addition to their Glow-y Powders is the Pixi Glow-y Powder in the shade Rose Dew (£14.00 for 11.3g). I own some of the other shades of Glow-y Powders and they are such lovely products to use and quite multi-functional too. Another factor that I love about Pixi is that they still input skin-loving ingredients in their makeup products too and this one contains Rose Extract to soothe and hydrate, Ferulic Acid to provide an antioxidant boost and Jojoba to nourish and moisturise the skin. Who doesn't love makeup that cares?! This Glow-y Powder can be used as a highlighter, a blush or even an eyeshadow! It is slightly duo-chrome in the fact it shows up a beautiful shimmery petal pink, but also has a slight orange tone to it in different lights. The formula is oh-so-smooth and it applies seamlessly to the skin for the most beautiful glimmer and glow.

The final item in the +Rose collection is the Pixi +Rose Lip Nourisher (£10.00). This rose-infused lip balm smooths the lips and gives a hint of tint and shine. Even though it looks quite dark in the tube, it adds a pretty petal pink tint to the lips, which is suitable for everyday wear. The Lip Nourisher contains Rosehip Oil to soothe and condition the lips, Jojoba Seed Oil to soften and smooth and Vitamin E to nourish and protect, which is ideal during these colder months as well as in Summer, to keep lips soft and supple. It can be worn alone or with other lip products and feels super moisturising without any heaviness or greasiness. This is the first time I have tried one of Pixi's Lip Nourishers and I would definitely purchase another.

You can find these Pixi products and more online at Pixi here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
