I think there is something wonderful about discovery kits, whether it be haircare, skincare, makeup etc, and so I picked up the Briogeo Besties Clean Hair Discovery Kit a month or so ago as I had heard such amazing things about the brand as a whole and I have tried one product a few years ago, which I loved, so I thought this was a really good option to try multiple products at once.
The Briogeo Besties Clean Hair Discovery Kit (£28.00) comes in a sweet, reusable spring green neoprene travel bag and inside you receive five, decently-sized mini products - the Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo (59ml), the Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Kale + Apple Replenishing Superfood Conditioner (59ml), the Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask (30ml), the Briogeo Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protection Cream (30ml) and the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo (30ml). So, you get a good selection of products to try.
The Briogeo Shampoo and Conditioner that are included within this kit, smell absolutely divine! The formulas are rich in nutrients and they harness the power of fruits and vegetables to support healthy looking hair and scalp. This particular duo is suitable for dull, dry hair and I found them very nourishing and they left my hair feeling super clean and healthy, without leaving behind any residue that would weigh my fine hair down. I definitely want to pick up the full sizes of these. As with all conditioners I use, I did leave this on for five minutes, as I find it can be extra nourishing to the hair.
The Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask is suitable for damaged and dry hair types. It is bolstered with nutrient rich, natural ingredients and is perfect for restoring strength and vitality to stressed and chemically treated hair. The formula contains Avocado Oil to seal in moisture, B-Vitamin Complex to help repair breakages and split ends along with Rosehip and Sweet Almond to smooth the cuticles of the hair. To use, you apply a small amount to shampooed hair, from roots to tips, and then sit back and relax for ten minutes whilst it works its magic before rinsing out.
Next up is the Briogeo Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protectant Creme, which is suitable for all hair types. This lightweight cream guards the hair when you are styling with temperatures up to 220 degrees Celsius. The formula contains Rosehip, Argan Oil and Coconut Oil to smooth and condition the cuticle of the hair, meaning less flyaways and less frizz. You apply this to damp hair before styling, from root to tip, and then blowdry as normal, knowing that you have heat protection and frizz-protection at the same time, leaving you hair super smooth and gorgeously healthy.
The final product you get in this lovely kit is the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo. I use quite a bit of dry shampoo, and so I do tend to get a little bit of an irritated scalp, so this was such a great product for me. It has been designed for oily hair, and I do get oily roots quite quickly, and this shampoo helps to balance the scalp, unclogging pores, removing dead skin cells and stripping the scalp of excess oils, so it is a little like an exfoliator but for the scalp. The formula contains Coconut Oil to promote healthy hair growth and Charcoal to remove toxins and impurities from the scalp and hair. As it is a shampoo, you don't need to use an additional shampoo, you simply apply to wet hair, massage into the scalp and down through the ends and then rinse.
