Elizabeth Arden Flawless Start Hydrating Serum Primer Review

Monday 5 April 2021

When I first saw the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Start Hydrating Serum Primer released, I thought it looked such a beautiful product and so I just had to try it out! I haven't tried anything new from Elizabeth Arden for a while now, so it was great to be able to dip into the brand again.

The Elizabeth Arden Flawless Start Hydrating Serum Primer retails for £28.00 for 25ml and it comes in a pretty glass bottle with a pipette style applicator. This is a multi-tasking product that cares like a serum and preps the complexion like a primer to give younger-looking and brighter looking skin. The formula is powered by microfluidic technology, in which droplets of oil are suspended in a hydrating gel, and you can actually see the little oil droplets in the bottle.

The texture is lightweight and glides onto the skin to provide instant freshness and hydration. A little goes a long way, and even though it contains those little droplets of oil, it in no way feels oily or greasy on the skin and sinks in immediately. Flawless Start contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin and to lock in moisture and microfluidic droplets to condition the skin (especially wonderful if you have dry skin, although this serum primer is suitable for all skin types).

As far as I can personally tell, it is fragrance free and so even if you have slight sensitivity on the skin, this should work well for you. I have combination skin - an oily T-Zone, dry cheeks and slight sensitivity on the cheeks too, and I have found that this works beautifully on my skin as a smoothing, brightening and very hydrating base before going in with my foundation. Of course, this can also be worn on its own if you want to pep up the skin and add some vitality and a healthy glow to the complexion.

You can find the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Start Hydrating Serum Primer online at Elizabeth Arden here.

All the Loves,
