I love understanding more about skincare brands, especially those that I haven't tried before. I recently received the skinSense By Abi Cleeve Anti-Ageing Reinforcing Vitamin Complex* to try out, and so as with all new-to-my-blog brands, I thought I would give a little information about the brand itself to start with.
"skinSense was born out of a vision to bring together the newest, ground-breaking technology with the highest-grade concentration of unique active ingredients in order to successfully tackle the signs of ageing". skinSense's founder, Abi Cleeve is also the genius behind UltraSun sun protection, so even based on that alone, I knew Abi's products would be well-thought out and researched.
skinSense By Abi Cleeve Anti-Ageing Reinforcing Vitamin Complex is an advanced, long-lasting formulation which is supercharged with fruit and plant extracts that are rich in vitamins A, C and B. The Vitamin Complex comes in a pretty glass bottle with a push-down applicator so that you can dispense the right amount of product without waste.
This lightweight concentrate helps to promote a brighter, more youthful looking complexion, without irritation or instability, which I found really useful recently as I had been getting some irritation on my cheek area and the sides of my nose due to another product I had used previously. Key ingredients include 3-o Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Passion Fruit, Ginger and Turmeric extract, Linefill, Hyaluronic Acid and Hexylresorcinol.
These ingredients help to reduce pigmentation on the skin, provide calming properties, combat free radical damage and of course, due to the Hyaluronic Acid, retain hydration as it is an acid which can hold up to 1,000 times its own weight in water. The formula itself is a cream-coloured serum that is lightweight and hydrating upon application, without leaving behind any oiliness or greasy residue. It sinks into the skin instantly and leaves a healthy glow to the complexion. I can't tell if there is a fragrance or not, so if you have sensitive skin, I believe this would work really well for you too.
To include it into your skin regime, I would recommend cleansing and toning and then applying 1-2 small pumps of the product, smoothing it onto the face and neck before applying moisturiser. I love how quickly this gives you a superficial glow to the skin, and then at the same time is working beneath the top layer of the skin to provide longer lasting results.
The skinSense By Abi Cleeve Anti-Ageing Reinforcing Vitamin Complex costs £28.00 for 15ml, which I think is a really great price for such high quality, effective ingredients and a little goes a long way with this product, so you will definitely get your money's worth. You can find it online at skinSense.
All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
