 This post contains gifted items.

After trying out some of the products from The Good Zest Company, I was eager to try more, as I love the ethos behind the brand, with them being both organic and waste-free. I believe now more than ever, it is super important to support small businesses and you can find out more about the brand on my original post here.

The first product I wanted to mention is The Good Zest Company Organic Body Oil* (£19.50 for 150ml), a hand-blended organic oil that is made up of just seven natural ingredients, all chosen for their unique qualities that will hydrate, soften and nourish the skin. This Mandarin-fragranced oil is suitable for all skin types, but is particularly beneficial for those with dry or sensitive skin, and it comes in a glass bottle with either a screw cap or a pump applicator, depending on which you prefer. Key ingredients include Almond Oil to improve the skin tone and texture and reduce the appearance of scars, Apricot Oil, which has a high content of antioxidants which is especially great for dry or mature skin as it deeply nourishes and softens the skin, Grapeseed Oil to improve the moisture levels of the skin, therefore reducing fine lines, wrinkles and sun spots, Evening Primrose Oil to soothe the skin and strengthen the skin's barrier to reduce moisture loss, Rosehip Oil which will also help to improve the moisture levels of the skin whilst giving a healthy, dewy look, Pomegranate Oil to penetrate deeply into the skin and soothe dry skin, and Mandarin Essential Oil and reduce ageing, rejuvenate and brighten the skin as well as boosting your mood. Apart from added Vitamin E, that is the entire ingredients of this product. No nasties, no artificial colours or fragrances, just natural goodness. I have been using this on an evening after my bath, and have noticed such a difference to how my normally super dry skin has transformed and is looking and feeling so much more healthier and nourished, so much in fact, that now I don't have scars from dryness, I won't be afraid to put my shorts on once the summer sunshine rolls around.

I mentioned in a blog post a couple of weeks ago how dry my hands have been, now that we are going out more and applying yet more antibacterial hand gel, so I wanted to try out The Good Zest Company Grapefruit Hand Lotion* (£8.95 for 200ml, which is exceptional value!). The aluminium bottle comes with a screw cap along with a push-down applicator, so once again, you are able to choose what works best for you and reuse the pump with other products. This Certified Organic Hand Lotion has added Organic Grapefruit Oil to nourish, soften and hydrate the skin. The formula is free from artificial colours and fragrances, so it won't irritate sensitive skins. There are other scents available, but I love Grapefruit as I find it super uplifting and invigorating. I find that the formula is moisturising and hydrating and a little goes a long way, without leaving behind a greasy residue, so you can carry on with your day, rather than having to sit and wait for your hand cream to sink in.

My Dad is a traditional soap and water kinda guy, but I like to make sure he is using the most natural ingredients with his soap and so another product I chose is The Good Zest Company Lemon Zest Organic Soap* (£5.95 for 100g). This handmade soap comes in an aluminium tin that is great for storing your soap in, and especially useful for travelling with. There are other natural scents available, but I opted for Lemon as it is one of my favourite clean fragrances and this formula contains Organic Italian Lemon Oil and Organic Lemon Zest to gently cleanse and nourish the skin. All soaps will be different of course, but there is even a piece of lemon inside this soap of mine, just to show how very natural this product is. The soap lathers up nicely, and makes my skin feel super soft and cared for. The Good Zest Company also offer a variety of eco-friendly accessories and I picked up the Natural Bamboo Soap Bag* (£3.50), which is made from 100% Bamboo, making it super soft as well as being anti-fungal. you can store your soap in this bag, but run it under warm water and it is soft enough for delicate facial areas as well as your body! How cool is that?!

Another couple of eco-friendly products I picked up is the Travertine Soap Tile* (£4.95) and the Fairtrade & Organic Canvas Tote Bag* (£3.50). Travertine is a type of limestone that is formed by mineral deposits from natural sweet water springs and as Travertine tiles don't have to go through the manufacturing process and are deposited around geo-thermally heated hot springs, it is the perfect eco friendly option. You can of course use this to place your soap onto, to protect your sink from getting messy, or as a coaster for your drinks and as no two tiles are the same, you are always getting a unique piece. I am forever nipping to the shop and forgetting to take a reusable bag with me, and so I got the Fairtrade & Organic Canvas Tote Bag to keep in my handbag at all times, so that I always have a bag on hand. This Tote Bag is made from premium quality cotton canvas and the organic cotton is grown without pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers. I love that I also get to show off a small business whilst doing my shopping!

You can find The Good Zest Company online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
