Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

Sunday 13 June 2021

In all honesty, I have never watched or followed Patrick Ta. However, after watching other You Tubers rave about his makeup brand, I have tried quite a few different products now and I have really enjoyed them. So when he recently released the Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette, I knew I had to try it out!

The Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette retails for £58.00, so it is a little pricey, especially for a nude palette, when there are so many great budget-friendly options out there. The Palette has a rose gold chrome casing which follows on from his other products, and there is a mirror on the inside of the lid. I have noticed a lot of brands have started producing products without mirrors inside, so that the products are recyclable, and so it would have been nice to have seen that for me personally.

There are twelve eyeshadows within this palette, two of them are cream bases, which I think is a really good idea to smooth out the lids, however they are both quite dark, so maybe a lighter one instead of two similar shades would have been a nice base option. As with Patrick's Contour Duo, the cream shadows are placed underneath a plastic door so you won't get any powder in there. There is one true metallic shade, which is a rich chocolate full of gold shimmer, which it gorgeous, and then there are three topper shades, a bronze, light coral pink and a champagne white. These are very sheer but do add a little shimmer to other shadows. There are then two mattes that contain micro glitter, a pale nude and a light nude with gold glitter. I do feel that there could have been one less topper shade and maybe one light nude matte, as the lightest matte is still pretty dark. There are four mattes, the nude, a warm rich nude, a burgundy brown and a deep chocolate brown.

I must say, the mattes are the best matte eyeshadows I have ever tried, and I don't say that lightly after trying so many over the years. They feel like silk, velvet, buttery silk, with a tonne of pigmentation to them, and they blend and apply to the lids like a dream, whether you are new to eyeshadow or a pro, I know you will just love the formula!

Overall, I think there are aspects of this palette I would personally have done a little different, and it is slightly expensive, but I am sure glad I picked this up and I look forward to trying alllllll of the different looks this palette can create.

All the Loves,
