I absolutely love a subscription box - they are such a treat, you receive a selection of goodies every month or season and have the ability to try out products you may not otherwise come across. The Mimi Beau Box* is a brand new subscription, founded by Misan, a North Londoner with an African heart who wants women to feel strong, resilient, passionate and empowered. There are so many subscription boxes on the market, but Mimi Beau Box is a more inclusive box, that celebrates women everywhere and each box has a theme - this version is the Enviro-Being Box.
The Mimi Beau Enviro-Being Box retails for £33.00, or £30.00 if you are a subscription holder, and this box alone is worth over £50.00, so you are definitely getting value for money, and one of the things I love most about this box is that it is supporting small businesses. The first thing I noticed is a hand-written card, explaining what is inside the box, but you can also shred the card, plant it and it grows flowers - how cool is that?!
You then get a Morning Affirmations card, which I think is just darling! Each morning, you scratch off a rose gold circle and say the affirmation out loud. There is also questions on the reverse of the card, where you can take some time and write down what you are thankful for.
The Laughing Buddha Candle (RRP £16.00) is just the cutest! The candle is fragranced with relaxing lavender and it is from a small business called Simply Serenity UK. I have never had such a beautiful candle and it smells divine - don't forget to rub his belly for good luck!
Next up are the Positive Vibes Incense Sticks (RRP £1.50). You receive 12 incense sticks, which smell so uplifting and rejuvenating. I have never tried incense sticks before, so I am definitely looking forward to giving this a go, whilst they fragrance my home with their beautiful scent.
For a more traditional incense stick holder, you get the Marble Black Incense Plaque (RRP £9.00). This incense holder is grey and white marble and has lots of lovely moons imprinted across it. The moon is viewed as a female symbol and represents womanhood, which is something I learned from reading the card included in the box. This one has been created by Silva Flora UK, another small, independent business.
To go with the Incense Sticks, you then receive a Woman Incense Holder (RRP £9.00), in a beautiful blue and white marbled effect, which reminds me of the sky. I know these shapes are super popular at the moment, as I saw a lot of them in Harrods Beauty, but at a much higher price! This one is handcrafted by a small business called To Arcturus, which also create some stunning candles!
One of my favourite items in the box is the Blooming Blends Protection Botanical Sensory Facial Mist (RRP 18.00 for 50ml). This facial mist is made using a blend of soothing essential oils and homemade flower waters to emotionally cleanse and shield you against any surrounding negativity. You simply use it as and when you need it to give you a wonderful sensory boost, exhaling and feeling the calm wash over you.
Something I have never received in a subscription box is a succulent, but you get one in here! The Haworthia (RRP £6.00) is a small succulent plant that needs encouragement and positive talk and just a little water every 2-3 weeks. I think this is a wonderful item to receive in a subscription box, and it comes in a pretty mint green ceramic pot.
As if all that wasn't enough, you also get a couple of Pukka Feel New Organic Tea Bags and a packet of Metcalfe's Sweet 'N Salt Popcorn, which is gluten free and vegan. So you can sit back and relax and enjoy a treat whilst you are trying out all of your new products.
You can find the Mimi Beau Box online here.
All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
