The Essence Mini Collection - Review

Tuesday 13 July 2021

I have posted about Essence Cosmetics many, many times, because their products are super affordable, but they also work well too, and I always get excited for a new collection! Their most recent UK release is the Essence Mini Collection, and here is everything available from the range...

First up is the Essence Mini Brush Set (£3.95), which contains four smaller-sized makeup brushes. You get a powder brush, a cheek brush and two eyeshadow brushes, one of which you could use for concealer too. The packaging is simple but clean with a little pop of colour and the bristles are super soft and gentle on the skin. If you are heading on a staycation this year, I think this would be a great addition to your makeup bag as sometimes many of my brushes are often too big to fit in my cosmetics bag, and these come in a tube which you could carry them in so you don't get your products dirty.

Next up is the Essence Mini Mattifying Face Mist (£1.99 for 28ml), a refreshing facial mist which helps to mattify the T-Zone and face as it becomes naturally oilier throughout the day. I suffer terribly with this, and I don't always want to carry around a large setting spray or powder compact, so this mini bottle is the perfect option to pop in my handbag. The formula is infused with Cucumber and Aloe Vera so it is also nice and refreshing on the skin, soothing and cooling it, which is great for after a day in the sunshine.

Does it get any cuter than the Essence Mini Plumping Gloss & Balm Duo (£2.50 for 2 x 12g)?? The Lip Balm is infused with Vitamin E and Argan Oil to give you super soft lips and the Plumping Lip Gloss contains Vitamin E and helps the lips to look fuller. You can use each one on their own, use them together and of course use them underneath or over the top of other lip products. Miniature bags are pretty on trend at the moment, and with these two cuties, you can still pop a lip product in there!

The item that made me look more into this collection is the Essence Mini Soap Paper Sheets (20 for £1.99). These little sheets allow you to clean your hands wherever you are. You simply place a soap sheet on the palm of the hand and moisten it with a little water and rub until it lathers into a foam, and wash away the foam with a little more water when done, which then leaves you with clean, fresh-smelling hands. Even pre-Covid, I have always carried hand sanitiser and other such items, as there is nothing worse than visiting somewhere and they don't have any soap left in the dispenser, so this is such an amazing invention for me!

The Essence Mini Caring Hand Lotion (£1.49 for 25ml) is another excellent travel buddy or handbag hero. This gently, cleansing hand lotion is enriched with Glycerin, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera and Allantoin to provide the skin with essential moisture and uplift your mood throughout the day. It has a delicate scent of Cucumber and a pleasant texture that is quickly absorbed into the skin without any stickiness or oily residue left behind.

My endometriosis medication often gives me hot flushes, so I love the idea of this Essence Mini Cooling Hydra Gel Balm (£1.99 for 4g). This Balm comes in practical small packaging and is moisturising and hydrating for the eye area and face whilst on the go. Full of nourishing Niacinamide and soothing Panthenol, this cruelty and vegan-friendly Gel Balm is so refreshing on a warm day or when I am having a hot flush and due to its super teeny size, I can take it anywhere with me!

You can find Essence online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
