With Summer on its way, it is time to get tanning - the healthy way of course! Today I will be talking about some of my favourite products from He-Shi tanning.
First thing's first - we need a good tanning applicator! The He-Shi Luxury Velvet Tanning Mitt* (£5.99) looks like a luxurious mitten that comes with an elasticated non-slip wrist design. The Luxury Mitt has an ultra-soft velvet surface so that you can effortlessly glide over the skin and it will help you achieve a flawless, streak-free tan. The Mitt features an inner waterproof lining so that your hands won't turn darker than the rest of your body and it is double sided so you don't have to keep taking it on and off. I always think that a good tanning mitt can make all the difference with the end result and this one I would highly recommend!
If you like to use body makeup or shimmer products on the body, then you simply need the He-Shi Professional Kabuki Brush* (£11.99). This is a silky soft multipurpose face and body blender for applying finishing products that gives a perfect airbrushed flawless finish to the skin. It is super compact and comes with its own holder to keep the brush and your makeup bag clean and free of tan. It has a velvety soft, highly dense brush and smooths products out onto the skin beautifully without any streaks or missing areas, as well as being kind and gentle on the skin. Simply apply your product onto the brush head and gently buff the product in for an even coverage.
The He-Shi Express Liquid Tan* (£21.00 for 150ml) is an award-winning iconic express liquid tan, incredibly hydrating on the skin and with a lightweight formula that dries in seconds, lasting 7-10 days. One of the features I love about this tan is that you can see where it goes, so that you aren't missing areas and it provides the skin with a streak-free golden glow. The formula contains 100% natural tanning actives and gives a medium shade of tan, but you can easily layer it up to achieve a deeper, darker tan depending on your preference. The Express Liquid Tan provides ultimate skin hydration and protects the skin against premature skin ageing with effective moisturising ingredients, which isn't something you often see in tanning products, but which I am ever so grateful for! Once applied to the skin, there is no 'fake tan' smell to the skin and I love how quickly it dries down so that I don't have to be hopping around the bathroom for ages. As I have quite sensitive skin, some fake tan products can cause my skin to itch, but I had no problems whatsoever with this pH balanced formula. To get the best application, exfoliate the skin 24 hours before use and ensure that the skin is clean, dry and unmoisturised before tanning. Use the Tanning Mitt and apply a little liquid directly onto the Mitt, gliding it over the skin, blending it in circular motions and then shower off after 6-8 hours and moisturise daily to prolong your tan. Easy peesy!
To really get the best from your tan, why not try the He-Shi HD Wonder Glow* (£17.50 for 100ml), which has been designed to highlight and illuminate while covering skin blemishes to leave a streak-free flawless finish. The Tan Remover & Primer comes ready to prep and prime the skin, creating a blank canvas ready for your next tanning application. This mousse formula is enriched with natural Passion Fruit, Pineapple and Grapefruit Acids and Enzymes which work to gently and effectively remove self-tan without scrubbing in just five minutes! Infused with White Nectarine and Pear, this leaves your skin smelling divine and the natural AHA's pull moisture from its surroundings, ensuring that your skin is well-moisturised so that it doesn't dry out and your skin is left feeling super hydrated.
