I love trying out a new foundation, well, let's be honest, I love trying out all beauty products! Chanel recently released the No1 De Chanel Camellia Revitalizing Foundation along with some skincare and some Lip and Cheek Balms. I have been trying them out for a couple of weeks now and so thought I would share my thoughts on them...
The No1 De Chanel Red Camellia Revitalizing Foundation retails at £55.00 for 30ml, which is pricier than their other foundations, but I was told that this is because it contains high quality skincare. There are 20 shades available and I have BR12, which is perfect for my light skintone. The Red Camellia is a flower that has revitalising powers, whose extraordinary energy gives it perennial youth. Chanel harnessed its exceptional properties to create a new generation of beauty products, which are all skincare heavy. Red Camellia extract targets stage number one of the skin's ageing process, working to prevent and correct the appearance of the five signs of ageing, therefore diminishing wrinkles, refining pores and restoring elasticity to leave the skin feeling comfortable and glowy. The Foundation comes in a matte glass bottle with a pump applicator for easy application and the texture blends seamlessly into the skin, giving a luminous and buildable coverage. As it is a skincare foundation, it isn't full coverage right off the bat, but you can build up the coverage to your preference, which I like as you don't always want either a light or full coverage. I enjoy how this makes my skin look, and as it has skincare properties, it keeps my skin moisturised throughout the day, and there is no budging of the foundation later in the day, nor does my oiliness on my t-zone poke through. As foundations go, this is an expensive one, but with the Camellia extract, I would recommend this foundation as it does noticeably help my skin.
I wouldn't normally pick up a £38.00 lip and cheek balm, but I got carried away in the Flannels Beauty Hall and it is a really great multi-use product. The No1 De Chanel Red Camellia Revitalizing Lip and Cheek Balm (6.5g) comes in six different shades and I opted for Wake-Up Pink, which I find to be a coral pink and very pretty on the skin. I am not sure about the other shades, but this one has a slight luminous shimmer to it, which doesn't look shimmery on the skin, but does look radiant, which is lovely. Enriched with Red Camellia Oil, the Lip and Cheek Balm gives concentrated hydration and comfort and is very smooth and nourishing. It melts onto the skin and adds a slight plumping affect on both the lips and cheeks. You can sheer it out or build it up as much as you want and I don't find it be either greasy or oily, nor does it remove my makeup underneath, which some lip and cheek balms can do. Personally, I do find this product overpriced, but a little goes a long way so you will get a lot of use out of it and it is the perfect size to pop in your handbag for on-the-go.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
