As I have mentioned previously, my skin really suffered after my surgery, and one product which I have recently been using and which I have felt has really helped my skin is the Obagi Hydrate Facial Moisturizer* (£40.50 for 48g).

Suitable for dry and dehydrated skin, the Obagi Hydrate Facial Moisturizer from the pioneering Obagi Nu Derm System is an innovative moisturiser that has been designed to combat the signs of ageing. It has been designed to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and crow's feet as well as improving the skin's appearance whilst also leaving it looking and feeling healthy and hydrated. I am 38, and whilst I don't have wrinkles or fine lines as yet, my skin hasn't been its best and which the cold weather over the last couple of months, it has really dried out my skin.

The Facial Moisturizer is suitable for all skin types - I have sometimes sensitive skin and I found that this did not irritate my skin whatsoever. The formula comes in a plastic bottle with a pump applicator and a narrow nozzle so that you don't get too much product at once. Key ingredients include Hydromanil, a technology advanced ingredient derived from Tara Seeds, which drives the hydrating action of the moisturiser. Hydromanil molecules form a matric on the surface of the skin allowing them to remain on your cells' surfaces for longer. This mechanism enables the advanced ingredient to retain water and gradually deliver moisture to the skin throughout the day by continually releasing active compounds and that is one of the things I love most about this moisturiser, as it is constantly keeping my skin moisturised and nourished. Other key ingredients include Shea Butter, Mango Butter and Avocado, which are all nourishing and hydrating.

I have been using it around a month now and I can easily see why this is one of Obagi's bestselling products. After cleansing and toning the skin, I apply this moisturiser onto the skin, gently massaging it in, both morning and night before applying a serum. I have had quite dry, dull skin before using this, and as I sometimes have quite irritable skin, I don't like to use abrasive scrubs or certain chemical peels, and I have found that this really helps to smooth out my skin, keeping it feeling comfortable and soothed all day long.

You can find the Obagi Hydrate Facial Moisturizer online at SkinStation here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
