My skin is so hormonal recently, which I think is down to the different hormone medication I take for my endometriosis, and I have found my skin to get quite oily throughout the day, so I have been trying out different powders, most recently the Estee Lauder Double Wear Sheer Flattery Loose Powder.
The Estee Lauder Double Wear Sheer Flattery Loose Powder is available in six shades, and I went with Translucent Soft Glow as I have fair to light skin. The Loose Powder retails at £33.00 for 9g and comes in a beautiful navy and gold pot, complete with a little puff to apply the powder with, and then the powder itself comes out through a mesh which is covered with a lid, so that you don't get powder everywhere.
The Sheer Flattery Loose Powder is very lightweight and silky sheer, and this microfine finishing powder sets makeup in place, keeping shine at bay all day long. The formula is oil-free and creates a soft-focus blurring effect and is available in matte or a soft glow. Even though I have an oily T-Zone, I still like a healthy, minimal glow on my complexion which is why I went for this option.
I like to use this as a setting powder, so once I have finished my complexion, I then either take the puff for a fuller finish, or a powder brush for a lighter finish all over the face to set my makeup. As I opted for the Glow version and not the matte, I can use this all over the face to make my makeup look flawless. In the pot, you can see that there are tiny specks of shimmer in this particular formula, which doesn't look glittery on the face, but does add that lit-from-within glow that I love so much.
I definitely feel that this does an excellent job at setting my makeup and I have noticed that I get a lot less oil coming through my makeup throughout the day. With the Double Wear name, this powder was bound to be a hit and I am so glad that it is!
