Trying Out Time Bomb Skincare - Review

I haven't tried anything from Time Bomb Skincare for years, as I used to get sent some products in PR, and I always remember really enjoying what I had tried, so I was thrilled when I was asked if I would like to try a couple of their more recent releases.

I have said many times how much I love using a Cleansing Oil, and the Time Bomb Peace & Quiet Coconut Cleansing Oil* (£25.00 for 175ml) is a beauty! It comes in a white bottle with a pump applicator for easy dispensing and is a lightweight cleansing oil that gently, yet effectively dissolves and removes dirt and grime as well as silicone and oil-based makeup and SPF products. The Coconut Cleansing Oil is ideal for all skin types, including sensitive and oily, to keep the skin clean and fresh. The formula is made up of a unique blend of Grape Seed, Sunflower and Safflower Oils along with botanical superstar Coconut Oil, which is known for its powerful antioxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, and melts away makeup and impurities effortlessly. Yet it never strips or dries the skin of its natural oils, leaving the complexion clean, smooth, soft and supple. You can use the Cleansing Oil both morning and night, on a daily basis, taking several pumps of the Oil onto the hands and gently massaging it into the skin and it is safe enough to use around the eyes to remove eye makeup. You then add a little warm water and continue to massage as the oil emulsifies into a light, milky consistency that you can then rinse clear with warm water. I enjoy removing mine with a warm face cloth as I do wear contact lenses so splashing water onto my face isn't always so much fun. I love how nourishing this product is on the skin and as it is an oil, a little goes a long way.

Charcoal is a well-renowned ingredient for detoxing the skin and purifying it, which helps if you suffer from clogged pores. The Time Bomb Double Detox Charcoal Mask* (£42.50 for 75ml) is a wonderful treatment to use. This is a purifying and detoxifying mask that contains Encapsulated Active Charcoal. Dirt, grime, pollutants and dead skin cells can clog up the pores whilst also leaving the skin looking dull, drab and dry. Double Detox's Active Charcoal attracts and purges pores whilst White Clay gently lifts away dirt and grime as it brightens and tones, leaving the skin looking fresh and clean. White Clay in the Mask contains Active Charcoal encapsulated in beads to maintain their full potency. The beads then burst when applied onto the skin and become activated for optimum removal of unhealthy participles and pollutants that have been lodged in the pores. White Clay is great for gently exfoliating and helps stimulate circulation without absorbing natural oils so the skin is left pure, toned, bright and glowing. Who doesn't want that?! The Double Detox Mask comes in a cool spherical pot and you can use the Mask once or twice as needed. To use, after cleansing the skin, take a generous amount and smooth on a thick, even layer. Sit back and relax for 10-15 minutes and then remove with warm water or a warm wet face cloth and then pat dry to reveal brighter, more even skin.
