Whilst in Superdrug recently, I spotted the Collection Gorgeous Glow Filter Finish, which I thought may be a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, so I decided to pick it up and try it out. At just £6.99 for 30ml, it is significantly cheaper than the £36.00 that Charlotte Tilbury charge.
The Collection Gorgeous Glow Filter Finish comes in a frosted glass bottle and has a sponge doe-foot applicator just like the Charlotte Tilbury version. As far as I could see in store, there is just the one shade available, 1 Fair, but there could be more. This is an ultimate illuminator, primer and skin perfector that gives the complexion a glow. You can wear it on its own for a subtle glow, as a highlighter to complete your base or under your foundation to give the skin a glowing, illuminated finish.
The formula is infused with Vitamin E and Glycerine and so it also takes care of your skin as well as helping it look healthier. The formula itself is thinner than the Charlotte Tilbury, which some people may prefer, and blends into the skin effortlessly. I was very impressed with the finish it gives, as it looks like a lit from within glow, whereas sometimes I find the Charlotte Tilbury version a bit too glowy for me personally, but I know everyone is different. I really do hope there are more shades of the Collection version available so that other skin tones get to try it out, as this would be too pale for a medium skin tone or deeper.
I think for the price, you really cannot go wrong with the Filter Finish and I love how healthy and radiant my skin looks when wearing it. To use, you can apply all over the face after your regular primer to give a soft-focus dimension under the foundation, or you can use the doe foot applicator to dot onto the cheeks and high points of the face as a highlighter, then blend in with fingertips, a brush or beauty sponge, and then even just wear it on its own for a pretty, all over glow.
