Pixi Retinol Tonic Review

Tuesday, 12 March 2019

I have been using Pixi’s Glow Tonic for a good couple of years now, and whilst I have been trying other toners, this one has definitely been a reliable skin care product for me. Last year, Pixi released a new version, the Pixi Retinol Tonic and this last month or so I have been trying it out.

So, how does it work? This potent youth-preserving tonic features a unique time-release Retinol to help rejuvenate the skin to give it a natural glow. It has been formulated with powerful antioxidants to help replenish the skin for a smoother, softer appearance and even soothes sensitive skin. Retinol is derived from Vitamin A and can help with signs of ageing as well as evening out skin tone and aiding acne and oily skin.

Retinol Tonic has a faint fragrance to it, which may be the jasmine flower with which it includes as an ingredient, but it isn’t strong and so if fragrances aren’t your thing with skincare, then you will have no need to worry with this product. In comparison to the Pixi Glow Tonic, I find this slightly more hydrating and it didn’t negatively affect my sensitive skin.
I personally don’t tend to suffer from acne, so I cannot comment on that, but I do have an uneven skin tone and oiliness, particularly on my T-Zone. After using this for a few weeks now, my skin has had no bad reactions, and my skin tone has definitely started to even out more, but the main result I have noticed is the glow my skin has in a morning, leaving my skin looking and feeling much healthier.

The Pixi Retinol Tonic costs £18.00 for 250ml but there are smaller bottles if you are wanting to try it out before going for the most expensive option. You can find it online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
