Thierry Mugler's Alien Fusion Eau De Parfum Review

Thursday, 7 March 2019

The first ever fragrance I really fell in love with was Thierry Mugler's Alien. This was probably around 10-12 years ago, and to this day it still remains in my top three fragrances - in fact the other two are both by Thierry Mugler. Imagine my excitement when I recently discovered there was a brand new Alien fragrance! Welcome, Alien Fusion...
The bottle is exactly the same iconic Alien Talisman shape except this time a bright, intense red which looks stunning and was created to encapsulate the setting of a scorching sun. Mugler state that this new reinvented Alien is a warmer and more feminine eau de parfum and I would agree for the most part. Sometimes when fragrance houses release new versions of an original fragrance it doesn't always work out well, or it has no resemblance to the original, however Alien Fusion does have that familiar Alien scent to it, and it has worked out, really well in fact.
Alien Fusion belongs to the Spicy Oriental fragrance family and includes notes of Ginger, Cinnamon, Tuberose, Orange Blossom, Vanilla and Amber, which come together to create something very magical indeed. You definitely get the warmth of the cinnamon right away, but you then get the softness of the vanilla and white amber. My personal preference when it comes to fragrance is something quite woody, spicy, musky and warming, and so this is right up my street.
As with pretty much the majority of Thierry Mugler fragrances, this is an eau de parfum, rather than an eau de toilette and so you are only going to need a couple of spritzes and the wear longevity takes you right through the day. I often get comments when I wear a Mugler fragrance and so it must suit my skin, and that has been no different since wearing Fusion. I love it!

Thierry Mugler's Alien Fusion Eau de Parfum is available in two sizes - 30ml for £49.00 and 60ml for £70.00 and you can find it online at Thierry Mugler.

All the Loves,
