I like to be honest on my blog, I feel that is really important to gain trust from my readers and I have to admit that I did used to say negative things about Revolution (formerly Makeup Revolution) because they just kept on releasing exact dupes of higher end makeup products. However, the last few months I have been really impressed with some of their new releases, and I have to give them credit, they have really upped their game.
One of their recent releases, the Eye Glisten has wowed me beyond belief. There are five colourways available and here I have four here, as these are the ones I would get the most wear from. Each Eye Glisten has a shimmer liquid eye shadow on one end and a glitter liquid eye shadow on the other, and they are so, so pigmented.
Just one swipe of the sponge applicator and you get a full coverage. Plus, they cost just £6.00 each, and Superdrug was doing a 3 for 2 deal, so I got one free, which is even better value. I love the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows, they're incredible, but the price is pretty high, which doesn't allow me to explore many of their colours, whereas with these I have eight to play with.
Eye Glistens are really long-wearing and I didn't even need an eye shadow primer for them to sit comfortably on my lids, and neither did they budge or smudge throughout the day. Once dried down, there is no cracking and they feel lightweight to wear.
