I have a love/hate relationship with the beauty section at TK Maxx. The prices are great, especially when they are on clearance, but so many people end up taking the products out, trying them and ruining them for others. But sometimes you can find a really great deal. When browsing my nearest store, I discovered this Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick Set which was all sealed up and so was in perfect condition.
Anastasia Beverly Hill Liquid Lipsticks have been pretty iconic over the last few years, and one Liquid Lipstick retails for £20.00, which for a higher-end brand you would expect something around that price-point. This set contains six liquid lipsticks and I paid...£16.99! Therefore, I paid less for six full-sized lipsticks than one costs on its own. Crazy value!
This set contains a variety of warmer shades, and one teal shade, which I will probably never use, however for the value that's not important and I can always save it for Halloween! I always find the formula of these liquid lipsticks spot on, they dry down beautifully without cracking and the pigment is great, allowing just one swipe to be enough. The shades within this set are;
Stripped - Neutral beige nude
Toast - Muted rosewood
Dazed - Light terracotta
Currant - Brick red
American Doll - Classic retro red
Requiem - Metallic blackened teal
I think the packaging looks really nice too, and it would make a really great gift for the price. The only thing with TK Maxx is that you have to get something when you see it, as next time you go you are very unlikely to find it again. However, I do sometimes have a scroll on their website to see what new beauty bits they have online, so this is worth a look too.
