Face Mask Friday: Yes To Coconut Face Masks

Friday 7 June 2019

Ooooh I love a Face Mask Friday and I haven't done one for a while, so I thought it about time! I have four masks from the Yes To skincare company, who do different ranges based on your skin type. The Coconut range is for dry skin, and even though I have combination skin, I would say that a mask for dry skin would be best for me at the moment.
Starting with the Yes To Coconut Ultra Hydrating Paper Mask (£3.49), I kinda expected this to be actual dry paper - I don't know why haha I just did. However, it isn't, and it is infused with moisturising Coconut extracts and quenches the skin with a big old dose of hydration. It is applied and used the same as a regular sheet mask, and this one has handy slits around the edges so that you can mould it to your face perfectly. I love anything with coconut in it, not just for the goodness of my skin, but also for the scent and so this was a winner for me as it left my skin feeling soft and well-nourished.
The next mask is the Yes To Coconut Moisturising (or moisturiZing as it says on the package) Mud Mask (£2.99), which contains Coconut Oil and Kaolin Clay to hydrate and smooth dry skin. Kaolin Clay is great for cleansing, balancing and purifying the skin so it is a great all-rounder and an excellent ingredient for skincare. You simply apply the mud mask to the skin like regular face masks and let it work its magic for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Once I had removed the mask, my skin felt super clean and nourished.
If your skin is super dry, I would recommend an overnight treatment like the Yes To Coconut Moisturising/MoisturiZing Sleeping Mask (£3.00). This nourishing and hydrating mask softens and smooths the skin to allow you to wake up to a refreshed morning complexion. The mask itself is quite thick and creamy, but it absorbed into my skin really easily and so I could get straight into bed after I had applied it. Because you are leaving the mask on overnight, the mask has longer to work on the skin, so I found this one of the most hydrating masks and would probably take this on a flight with me as it would last longer.
For the eyes, we have the Yes To Coconut Energising/EnergiZing Super Eye Mask (£2.99), which instructs you to cleanse the eye area, put on your cape (lol), then gently unfold the mask and apply around the eye area. I do get very tired eyes as I wear contact lenses every day and so I am all for an eye mask. This particular one contains coconut and coffee to energise the area to de-puff and brighten it up and I love using this in a morning to wake myself up, plus the mask shape and detail makes me feel a little like a superhero.
You can find the Yes To Coconut Face Masks online at Beauty Bay here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
