Matalan (?!) Beauty Collective The High-Life! Highlight Palette Review + Swatches

Monday 12 August 2019

If you asked me where to get a kick-ass highlight palette from, you can bet your bottom dollar I would 100% NOT say Matalan. Never in a million years. And that's not because I am a beauty snob or anything like that, I love Primark makeup as much as I love Tom Ford, but it is because Matalan is a store that sells clothes, and homeware. However, whilst in Matalan recently, because who doesn't love their bargainous Summer clothes, I spotted the Matalan Beauty Collective The High-Life! Highlight Palette
I picked it up out of interest, and thought this is going to be crap, but oh how wrong I was. This Highlight Palette is rose gold on the outside, and inside has a lovely tropical vibe to it, and three pans, two have which have palm trees on them. I am a sucker for anything tropical. Immediately, I thought the shades were stunning but I didn't expect a lot when it came to testing them out.
Again, how wrong I was. These three shades, which are all nameless, (you can't expect everything), are so pigmented, are so buttery soft, and just so, so beautiful. You can use all three as a highlighter, or eyeshadows, and the middle shade also looks super pretty as a blush. This palette costs £6.00, that is £2.00 a shade, and the pans are huge!
There is no need to take your £60.00 highlighter palette on holiday, because this £6.00 is gonna do the job, and at such a low price, it doesn't matter if it gets cracked or smashed in transit. I checked online and there are other Beauty Collective products, and so I may have to give some more a try.

The Matalan Beauty Collective The High-Life! Highlight Palette as mentioned, costs £6.00 and I couldn't see it online, but do check your local store. If you would like to check out some of their other products, you can do so online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
