Pur Bare It All 4-in-1 Skin Perfecting Foundation Review

Monday 16 September 2019

I had read good things about the Pur Bare It All 4-in-1 Skin Perfecting Foundation, and when I spotted it whilst browsing in Marks & Spencer recently, I decided to pick one up to try out for myself.
Whilst most foundations only work in the short-term to conceal, the Pur Bare It All 4-in-1 Skin Perfecting Foundation is formulated to also treat skin in the long-term. It features a list of moisturising, plumping and anti-ageing ingredients, some of which are;
* Blue Agave Leaf Extract
* Green Tea Leaf Extract
* Ginseng Root Extract
* Glycerin
* Ceramides
* Retinol
* Jojoba Esters
* Vitamin E
* Lauric Acid
Quite an impressive list! When I saw the name, Bare It All, I did expect quite a sheer coverage, but this is definitely a full coverage foundation, designed to hide imperfections, pores and fine lines in the short-term, whilst the skin-loving ingredients work their magic longer-term. There are only six shades available, all of which seem to be for Caucasian skin, which is a little disappointing in this day and age. I went for the second lightest shade, Light, which to me looks more Medium.

You get 45ml of product, however the tube seems half empty on appearance and I did find the foundation quite hard work to get out of the tube. However, I believe that is because the formula is so thick and heavy, and even though it includes ingredients such as nylon and silica, it isn't that easy to spread or blend into the skin. Due to the texture of this foundation, I would definitely recommend using a primer so that the product lies down well, especially if you have quite dry skin.
Coverage-wise though, you cannot fault the Pur Bare It All 4-in-1 Skin Perfecting Foundation, and once you get the hang of the formula I think it is such a great foundation. I think this works better on oily to combination skin, and if you have very dry skin, I don't think this would work for you. It covers any blemishes, or imperfections incredibly well, and it does not budge at all throughout the day which is what I want from a foundation as I am not one of those girls (or boys) that like to carry around lots of makeup in my handbag for touch-ups.

The Pur Bare It All 4-in-1 Skin Perfecting Foundation costs £29.00, which for a 45ml foundation is pretty good value, especially considering you have all of those skincare properties inside. You can find it at Marks & Spencer here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
