Urban Decay Lightbeam Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

Sunday 8 September 2019

Whilst browsing my nearest Urban Decay concession stand at Debenhams, I spotted a coral/orange shimmer eyeshadow that I really liked. I don't often buy single eyeshadows, as palettes work out much better value, but I just really fell in love with it. However, they had no stock of the eyeshadow, and as I continued to browse I noticed the Urban Decay Lightbeam Eyeshadow Palette was reduced to £13.65, and considering a single shadow costs between £14.00-15.50, I figured I may as well get five shades for less than the price for a single shadow. Plus, one of the shades was very similar to the single shadow I had seen.
In all honesty, when the Urban Decay Lightbeam Eyeshadow Palette was first released, I had only seen it online and didn't seem that bothered by it. I had quite a lot of nude eyeshadow palettes at the time and didn't see the benefit of paying £19.50 for five shadows. However, in person they are so lovely - each shade is completely different, yet you can create some beautiful looks and due to the size and colour/finish range it is the perfect holiday companion.
The shades in the Urban Decay Lightbeam palette are;
Nudie - Soft pink-nude matte
Vibe - Warm brown with gold micro-shimmer
Paradox - Metallic orange with gold micro-shimmer
Golden Hour - Burnt red with green shift and green micro-shimmer
Influence - Metallic brown with gold micro-shimmer

There is a little mirror on the inside of the lid, and as you would expect from Urban Decay, the shadows themselves are spot on, great pigment, blend well, and last on the lids throughout the day. You really cannot go wrong with Urban Decay eyeshadows.
The Urban Decay Lightbeam Eyeshadow Palette costs £13.65 and you can find it online at Urban Decay here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
