Catrice Cosmetics: Testing Out Concealers

Monday 7 October 2019

I first knew about Catrice Cosmetics at the beginning of this year, after seeing Tati Westbrook rave about the Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer on her You Tube channel, which I of course ordered from America just so I could try it. It has been one of my most reached-for concealers ever since. However, Catrice Cosmetics are now available in the UK, and are actually the sister brand of Essence Cosmetics. If you come here often, you will know what a fan I am of Essence as they produce high quality products at very affordable prices, and Catrice is no different.
Starting with my first Catrice love, the Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer. This is available in eight concealer and colour-correcting shades and costs just £3.49! I paid double that earlier in the year just to get it shipped from America, and even at double the price, I was more than happy with my purchase. The Concealer comes in a traditional concealer tube, and has a slanted sponge tip applicator to make it super easy to get a more precise coverage. I suffer from quite dark undereye circles, and this has been covering those all year long. I have never had to reapply during the day, neither has the product budged or worn off and I love that. It does have a 12 hour wear time, and I would completely agree with that. This is a fuller coverage concealer, however you don't feel like you are wearing anything heavy, and I never get any caking from it once it has dried down into the skin. I will recommend this concealer all day long.
As the Camouflage Concealer was the only Catrice product I had tried, I was definitely looking forward to trying more, when some products landed through my letterbox. Next up we have the Catrice One Drop Coverage Weightless Concealer. This is a completely different set-up to the Camouflage Concealer, as this one comes in a little glass bottle, and has a glass dropper as the applicator tool. There are eight shades available, which really isn't bad for a budget brand and it costs just £4.49 for 7ml of product. The One Drop Concealer contains hyaluronic acid and therefore is going to add and lock-in moisture to the skin, overall giving a brighter, healthier appearance. As with the other concealer, there is no caking once it has settled into the skin, and it goes on super smoothly, offering a full-coverage finish. The shade I have here is 003 Porcelain, which is for fair skin tones with neutral undertones, and is therefore perfect for me during the colder months when my skin is at its fairest.
I certainly cannot wait to try out more from Catrice Cosmetics and you can find them online at Just My Look here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
