So many new foundations to try, only one face to try them on. Today I will be telling you all about my experience with the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation (what a mouthful). It isn't super brand new, it was released a couple of months ago but I have only recently gotten around to trying it out.
There are a whopping 50 shades available, and as I don't have a store local to me that sells Fenty Beauty, I had to do my best guesswork online and ended up ordering the shade 120, which did look a little warmer online than it does in real life and I think I could have done with a slightly darker shade, but seen as it is Autumn, heading to Winter, it isn't so bad.
The Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation is a hydrating foundation that gives a medium to full coverage and is suitable for normal to dry skin. I have quite dry skin at the moment, so this is the perfect time of year for me to use this kind of foundation. The key ingredients within the formula include Grape Seed Oil and Sodium Hyaluronate to keep the skin hydrated and nourished throughout the day.
This is marketed and named as a longwear foundation, and I would definitely agree with that, as my foundation stayed in place throughout the day without budging or sliding down the face. As this is a hydrating foundation, I do find it very comfortable to wear, however I would say that I have definitely tried more hydrating foundations, but for the longevity of wear and the coverage, this is definitely a good foundation. Not the best I have ever tried, but certainly delivers on coverage and wear-time.
The packaging isn't as fancy as the original Fenty Beauty Foundation, this time coming in a plastic tube which then has a push-down applicator, and at £27.00 for 32ml, I would have liked to have had a glass bottle. I know many people prefer squeezy tubes, but I think there is something luxe and lovely about a foundation in a glass bottle.
