H&M Makeup Party Picks

Monday 2 December 2019

I have only tried out H&M makeup once before, which was a couple of years ago now. It wasn't that it was bad, it was just that I don't have a store local to me, and the odd time I get to a store, it didn't have my shades or products were picked over etc. However, I recently went shopping with my Dad and we went to H&M and I picked up a few bits from their recent collection, which I am almost sure has a bit of a party theme going on.
Firstly, I picked up a couple of the H&M Five Pan Eyeshadow Palettes (£4.99 each) as I thought they would be perfect for travelling with when I go to Orlando this month. The Pink Palette is called Lovely, and features a dusky pink glitter, a champagne shimmer, a mauve shimmer, a dusky pink shimmer and a chocolate brown shimmer and I just think this will make such a good little day to night time palette. The Green Palette is named Enchanting and has the most unreal iridescent glitter, which doesn't show up on camera, but it is worth the £4.99 alone! The rest of the shades in the palette include a white and pink iridescent glitter shimmer, a sparkly champagne, a shimmery burgundy and a shimmer dark brown. Even though a couple of the shades sound similar in each palette, they don't transfer onto the skin the same and have a different texture and shade to them. I also think that these Eyeshadow Palettes would make perfect little stocking fillers or Secret Santa gifts, too, for under £5.00.
For a touch of added glitz, I love the H&M Liquid Eyeshadow Set, which contains five tubes of glittery liquid eyeshadow. Inside the collection, there is a cream with multicoloured pastel glitter, a light pink, with pastel iridescent glitter, a true gold glitter, an ethereal pink and light green glitter, and then finally, a lovely festive green glitter. You get a good amount of product in each tube, and there is a slanted sponge applicator in each one, so that you can apply it straight to the lids. The formula is not at all sticky, and I like to wait a minute or so whilst it dries before opening up my eyes fully, as I have quite hooded lids. These can be worn on their own or on top of other regular eyeshadows for full-on glitz and glamour. The set costs £6.99, so again another great gift price point and they therefore work out at just £1.39 each.
For just £3.99 I picked up the H&M Lip Gloss Kit in Beige Quad. This sweet holographic package contains four little lipglosses in nude and berry tones. You get Golden Charm, a sheer glitter gloss full of light gold and pale pink glitter, Basic Babe, a fab everyday nude, Gliterally, a sheer nude full of pastel glitter, and Cocoa Luxe, a warm berry tone gloss. These sweet, petite glosses are the perfect size to pop into any sequinned clutch bag this festive season, and once again, they are such a great price point for gifting, working out at just under £1.00 per gloss. The formula isn't sticky, and I was surprised by their pigmentation, as the coloured glosses gave full coverage in just one swipe!
You can find H&M Beauty in-store and online at H&M here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
