Revolution Crystal Skincare Collection Review

Saturday 21 December 2019

This month has seen so many new Revolution Beauty releases, and I am so excited for this one. The Crystal-inspired collection consists of the Revolution Rose & Camomile Serum, the Revolution Green Tea & Collagen Serum and two crystal rollers, which I have been wanting to try for ages.
The Revolution Rose & Camomile Calming & Soothing Serum is like no other serum I have come across before. It has pink iridescent glitter inside it! Yes, that's correct, glitter! Except, this is plastic-free shimmer particles and so it isn't harmful to the skin and helps to instantly boost radiance, as well as looking super pretty in the bottle. If you have quite sensitive, easily irritated skin, then the Rose & Camomile Serum is the one for you, as both rose and camomile are well-known for calming and soothing the skin, and getting rid of any redness. The serum comes in a sweet glass bottle that has a glass dropper so that you can control the amount of product you are wanting, or even apply it straight onto the skin from the dropper and you get 30ml of product, which is excellent value at just £10.00. With either serum, I recommend applying to the skin both morning and night, letting the product sink in and then applying a moisturiser.
If you have drier or more mature skin, then the Revolution Green Tea & Collagen Serum will be the preferable one to go for. This Serum contains iridescent green sparkle, and again it is plastic-free and so completely safe for the skin. Green Tea is going to be perfect for awakening the skin and adding moisture to it, whilst Collagen of course is great for plumping up the skin, and giving it a fuller look, ideal for those with slightly more mature skin that has lost some elasticity. The packaging is exactly the same as the Rose & Camomile Serum, with the lovely glass bottles - I just love anything skincare in a glass bottle as it feels that little bit more luxe. As I mentioned, I do recommend applying the serums both morning and evening, and of course you can either press it gently into the skin, or apply onto the skin and then go over with the Crystal Rollers. This too costs £10.00 for 30ml.
I have been wanting to try out a crystal roller for ages, but the majority I have seen have all been around or above the £100.00 mark, and for me that just isn't feasible at the moment. However, Revolution have of course come to our rescue with the Revolution Jade Facial Roller and the Revolution Rose Quartz Facial Roller, and the best part is that they cost just £15.00 each, which is by far the most accessible price tag I have come across. They can be used with or without skincare products, but you will of course get the best benefits whilst using a facial oil, serum or moisturiser with them. Simply apply the skincare product of your choice to the skin, and then roll the Roller over the skin in upwards motions to stimulate the blood flow, which is not only great for the skin and muscles, but it also helps the skin to absorb the products better. The Rose Quartz Roller is best used to help calm the skin, so is great for normal, sensitive or slightly oily skin, and the Jade Roller is best known for lifting the skin, so again, working alongside the Green Tea & Collagen Serum, this will be amazing for normal, dry and more mature skin.
