Mulac Sassy Collection Review + Swatches

Monday 6 April 2020

Mulac is a brand that is not so well-known in the UK as yet, however I have tried a few of their products previously and have been super impressed. They are an Italian beauty brand that offer a wide-range of high-quality makeup and one of their newest releases is the Sassy Collection, of which I was very kindly sent a few items to try.
The star of the show for me is the Mulac Badass Lady Face Palette (EUR 26.90) which is a soft-touch burgundy palette that has a mirror on the inside of the lid and then three generously-sized pans. You receive a bronzer, blush and highlighter. The bronzer comes in the shade Wake, which is a medium-toned bronzer with a warm undertone and a subtle texture and luminous finish. The Blush is the shade Pray, a beautiful raspberry pink that has a slight pearlescence to it, with a formula that can be applied lightly or built up for a brighter pop of colour. The highlighter is in the shade Slay, and for me, it is quite an unusual highlighter shade that I haven't seen a lot of with other brands. It is a warm champagne shade that is enriched with multi-chrome pearls and is just stunning! Just the slightest touch gives you the most beautiful shimmer and illumination to the skin and you could also use all three of these shades on the eyelids too. I have fair to light skin, and I can make all three of these shades work, but I know that if you had medium to darker skin, these would also work for you, and I love a palette that is inclusive to different skin tones and colours.
There is also five lipstick shades within the Sassy collection, and here I have two of them - Bare Red and Pazzesca. The Mulac Bare Red Lipstick (EUR 13.90) is a red sheer lipstick with a blue-tone and gives a light to medium coverage. Blue-toned red lipstick shades help to prevent your teeth from looking yellow, which some shades of red lipstick can do, and I have been obsessed with this shade to add a pop of colour to brighten up my day. Pazzesca translates to Crazy in English, which I thought was quite fun to learn. The Mulac Pazzesca Lipstick (EUR 13.90) is a brighter pop of raspberry pink with red mixed in there too and gives the most sumptuous matte finish on the lips. When Summer comes, this will definitely be a go-to for me. Both lipsticks come packaged in that beautiful burgundy colour packaging and the tubes have a soft-feel to them so they are really comfortable to hold and the lipstick is easy to apply due to how pigmented they are. Both of my swatches in the below photo were just one swipe! Even the matte shade Pazzesca, isn't drying on the lips and is the most comfortable matte lipstick I have tried in a long time.
