An Introduction To Nakin Skincare

I love trying out and showcasing more individual brands here on my blog, as much as I love reviewing everyday brands. I recently discovered Nakin Skincare, an eco beauty brand that produce award-winning anti-ageing skincare. Nakin offer a luxurious natural anti-ageing skincare system of cleansers, moisturisers, creams and treatments which are also suitable for sensitive skin types. Their products are full of the best natural ingredients and are formulated with the best plant actives, as well as being free from parabens, PEGs, artificial colours and fragrances. Everything is produced in the UK and they are a completely cruelty free brand.

Nakin kindly sent across a couple of their skincare products for me to try and I shall start with the Nakin Revitalising Face Oil* (£22.00 for 50ml). This comes in a pump dispenser bottle and is a 100% natural anti-ageing face oil which has been blended with skin enhancing plant oils to help smooth lines and condition the skin. A little goes a long way with this Face Oil, and so a few drops will work for the entire face, and I love that even though this is quite obviously an oil, it doesn't feel greasy on the skin, nor does it leave behind any residue. Some of the magical ingredients this product is formulated include Peach Kernel Oil to deliver Omega Oils for all round age-defying assistance, Olive Oil to leave the skin silky and soft, Baobab Oil to restore life to the skin with its antioxidant and regenerating effect Argan Kernal Oil to provide the skin with nutrients and also aiding inflammation and Jojoba Oil which helps to provide moisture and a protective barrier to the skin. To include a face oil into your skincare regime, it is best to apply onto the skin after a Serum and before a Moisturiser - warm the oil up in the palms of your hands and then gently press into the skin, allowing it to sink in before using a moisturiser. I have found that this has made such a difference to my skin, as it feels so much more evened out and well nourished than before, and silky soft.

The second product I have been trying out is the Nakin Eye Cream Complex* (£18.00 for 15ml). This eye cream comes in a handy little pot and is a super lightweight anti-ageing eye cream that reduces the appearance of fine lines, puffy eyes and dark circles. I have naturally dark under eye circles and so they always need all the help they can get and I have certainly noticed an improvement since using this eye cream. As with all eye creams, you only need a tiny amount per eye, and as soon as you apply it, the Cream feels super cooling and soothing. Even though it is a cream, it does have a slight gel-like formula to it, and it resists damage and improves the look of the skin around the eye due to a special composition of clean actives. Key ingredients include Hydrolysed Hibiscus Extract to soften and ease lines to help with crow's feet around the eyes, Hyaluronic Acid to lock in moisture and prevent dehydration, Squalene to provide hydration and reduce lines as well as softening the skin, Pomegranate which helps to reduce UVA and UVB damage, Green Tea Extract which is rich in antioxidants to prevent free radical damage, Seaweed Extract which is known for its conditioning and toning properties, Chlorella Vulgaris Extract to help reduce dark circles and improve circulation and Caffeine which compresses blood vessels in the skin to alleviate eye puffiness. All in all, this is a really beneficial product to use and I started using an eye cream in my mid-20s, and this is such an affordable option compared to a lot of brands, especially given the exquisite ingredients and results.

You can find Nakin Skincare online here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
