When I first saw the Ole Henriksen Lemonade Smoothing Scrub* I knew I had to try it as I love anything lemony and fresh. The Ole Henriksen Lemonade Smoothing Scrub retails for £25.00 for 90g and I am a big fan of exfoliators as they really do make a difference to the skin, and this particular scrub is a lovely combination of physical sugar particles and AHAs to smooth the skin.

The Ole Henriksen Lemonade Smoothing Scrub comes packaged in a blue squeezy tube with lemons illustrated on the front and a squeezy tube is super quick and easy to use. The scrub itself is full of tiny sugar particles to exfoliate the skin and you only need a small amount for the full face. When you squeeze it out, it looks a little like a lemon slush and as it contains sugar particles, you only need to apply light pressure, massaging in gentle circular motions on damp skin. As soon as you apply it to the skin, you immediately notice the sweet lemonade scent, which is a wonderful part of the treatment experience, as it reminds me of freshly squeezed lemons.

Ole Henriksen recommend gently massaging it into the skin for a couple of minutes and then leaving the product to sit on the skin for a further two minutes, giving the AHAs, glycolic and lactic acids chance to deeply exfoliate the pores and smooth out the texture of the skin. Once you remove the scrub with warm water, your skin feels immediately smoother, softer and has a healthy glow to it. If you suffer from texture on the skin, this will be an amazing product for you as it really helps to smooth mine out, without stripping the skin of its natural oils.

Key ingredients include Sucrose and Hydrated Silica, which are renowned for their abrasive, exfoliating features, Lactic Acid which helps brighten hyperpigmentation and reduces pore size as well as helping to prevent and reduce fine lines and wrinkles by increasing cell turnover, Glycolic Acid which can penetrate deep into the skin to exfoliate without having to physically scrub the skin and even out skin tone and Citrus Limon Peel Powder and Fruit Extract which gives the scrub its natural fragrance and adds a dose of Vitamin C to help brighten pigmentation and the antioxidants help repair and protect the skin from environmental damage.

I really enjoy using this scrub and the benefits I get on my complexion, and as I sometimes have quite sensitive skin, I definitely go light-handed with the scrub when massaging it in to the skin, and it still works amazingly well!

All the Loves,
