Lush Lashes Mascara Review

This post contains a gifted item.

When we think of Lush, we think of bath products and body care, but it is often so easy to forget that they actually have a cosmetics line too! I was recently sent the Lush Lashes Mascara* to try it out and so here are my thoughts...

I do love trying out new mascaras, as I have naturally fine, straight, fair and short lashes, so I am always on the hunt for something to make them look so much better. The Lush Lashes Mascara retails for £15.50 for 9g of product and comes in fairly simple black and white packaging, in keeping with the Lush theme. The wand has a rubber bristled applicator, with short spiky bristles, which isn't something I would normally prefer as I often get on better with natural bristled brushes, but I will try anything out to help my lacklustre lashes.

I was absolutely thrilled with the results of this mascara - it lengthens my lashes so beautifully, without clumping or smudging and as I have quite hooded eyelids, I nearly always get mascara on my lids, but with this I don't as the brush is so slimline and the bristles short, yet effective. The Lush Lashes Mascara gives an overall very pretty finish to the lashes - it doesn't give a tonne of volume, but then it doesn't promise that it does, but it does lengthen the lashes, even my short, sparse ones!

The formula contains Coconut Oil to condition the lashes and Gum Acacia to protect and coat the lash hair, which gives it that lovely separation and definition whilst keeping the pigment in place all day long. It is a long-lasting mascara and the ingredient Wheatgrass contains a whole host of vitamins and proteins, which encourage lash health - who doesn't love a treatment and makeup product in one?! My lashes feel conditioned and not at all dry, as the formula doesn't dry out on the lashes when wearing it, which can sometimes make lashes look dry. Would highly recommend you giving this a whirl next time you are picking up a bath bomb or three.

You can find the Lush Lashes Mascara online at Lush here.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
