e.l.f. Camo CC Cream Foundation Review

Friday 9 April 2021

Last year I tried out a lot of e.l.f. products and fell in love with so many, and as one of my favourite foundations is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream, I was super excited to try out the e.l.f. Camo CC Cream Foundation as obviously it is around half the price of the IT Cosmetics one.

The e.l.f. Camo CC Cream Foundation is available in twenty different shades, ranging from fair to rich skin tones, and featuring different undertone options. I chose the shade Fair 150, which is for fair skin with cool undertones. The CC Cream comes in a squeezy tube, which I always prefer as I find them easy to use and this also contains SPF 30, which is less than the IT Cosmetics SPF 50, but still a fair protection.

This is a medium to full coverage foundation and is infused with hydrating and youth-boosting ingredients to help improve the skin's texture and tone, including Hyaluronic Acid to lock in moisture, Niacinamide to help brighten and even out the skin tone, Peptides for a more refreshed complexion and Collagen to help plump up the skin. Through social media, I discovered a lot of people had trouble finding a shade that matched them well, and obviously at the moment, I did have to order online and so I went with their recommendation for fair skin that has a cool undertone.

However, I think this is probably the perfect match for me - it does look darker in the tube, so I was apprehensive but once I applied it to the skin, it matched my complexion well. The formula is quite thick, but it spreads out onto the skin well and covered all of my redness on my cheeks and my imperfections and I found it very quick and easy to apply. It states it gives a natural finish to the skin, but on my skin, I found it to be more mattifying than anything. When it comes to the IT Cosmetics CC Cream, I love the Illuminating version as it just makes my skin look next level amazing, but I would definitely think this would be a solid option for the warmer months when my skin needs a little more of a matte finish. With that in mind though, it isn't overly mattifying nor is it drying, and you can really feel the skin-loving ingredients when you apply it.

Overall, I am really pleased with this foundation and I would highly recommend picking it up. You can find the e.l.f. Camo CC Cream Foundation online at e.l.f. here, where it retails for £14.00 for 30g.

All the Loves,
Kathryn xxx
