With warmer weather hopefully (!!) on its way, I wanted to take a more in-depth look at the Ark Skincare Skin Essential Skin Protector SPF30 Primer and the Ark Skincare Skin Essential Hydrating Beauty Mist. I don't know about you, but my complexion does not like the heat, even though I love the sunshine! So, I like to use products that are going to keep me protected from UV rays as well as ones that keep my makeup looking fresh throughout the day.
The Ark Skincare Skin Essential Skin Protector SPF30 Primer* (£36.00 for 30ml) comes in a bottle with a push down applicator, which is always my favourite kind of applicator and is the ultimate multi-tasker - you all know how much I love a multi-use product, too! This is your makeup primer, sunscreen and moisturiser all rolled into one. It can be used as your daily moisturiser or on top of your daily moisturiser for added hydration and protection. As a makeup primer, it gives a smooth luminous base ready for foundation and it keeps makeup in place all day long. The formula contains a blend of UVA and UBV filters which offer broad spectrum SPF30 protection against hose pesky UV rays, Hyaluronic Acid to limit water loss through the skin's barriers to keep the skin hydrated, Vitamin E and Shea Butter to moisturise, protect and soothe the skin and a complex of Jojoba, Mimosa and Sunflower to reinforce the skin's barrier function. The Primer is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin like mine, of which quite a lot of the Ark Skincare products now are, which is great as so many products have started being too irritable to my skin now. I love using this as part of my makeup routine, and smooth it over the face and neck before applying my makeup and I have definitely noticed my skin feeling much more nourished and hydrated and my foundation applies over the top of it like a dream!
Another amazing multi-use product is the Ark Skincare Skin Essential Hydrating Beauty Mist* (£25.00 for 150ml). Not just a beauty mist, this is an intensively refreshing and hydrating spray that soothes and protects the skin, to leave it feeling cool, balanced, supple and hydrated. The Mist comes in a bottle with a push down applicator and has a generous mister that doesn't drench the face, but sprays it evenly and finely. Key ingredients include Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate the skin and relieve any dryness, Wild Water Mint, Aloe Vera and Allantion to soothe and calm the skin and Goji and Blue Lotus to provide the skin with high levels of nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants to detoxify and provide anti-inflammatory benefits. This is suitable for all skin types, for both men and women, and even sensitive skin. If you suffer from menopausal flushes, this will be a dream to you - pop it in the fridge for an even greater cooling effect. Due to me having severe endometriosis, I do get put into a false menopause before my surgeries and I really struggled to find a mist that would help to cool me down, but this works brilliantly and the fact it has skincare benefits too is an added bonus.
