The Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

Wednesday 15 June 2022

It is no secret amongst the beauty world that Too Faced haven't truly brought out anything overly revolutionary these past few years, but when I saw the Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette, I knew I had to pick it up.

It is essentially, a neutrals palette, but amped up and I have been using it non-stop since I first tried it out. The Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eyeshadow Palette retails at £36.00 and you get eight larger pans and eight smaller pans of eyeshadow. It is a warm neutral palette that has some rich, creamy mattes and some amazing shimmer shadows, which are more metallic in formula and super smooth on the lids.

The packaging features palm trees, which I adore and a mirror on the inside of the lid. Even though this is a neutral palette, you get creams, browns, peaches, terracottas, deep browns and even a black brown and that's not even including the shimmers! For me, the shimmers are some of the best I have tried, and I've tried a lot! I like to apply the shimmers with a fingertip rather than a brush for the most magnificent payoff and you get a good variety of colours and finishes within the shimmers. Some are iridescent, some have micro glitter in them, some are rich, deep and chocolatey and some are soft and light in colour.

Often, neutral palettes can be pretty limited with the looks you can create, but this palette offers you endless combinations of looks. You can even use the dark brown shade, Black Sand, as an eyeliner, and the matte shades, being so buttery soft, are so easy to blend, whether you want an all matte look or something to lay down as a base.

I tend not to buy neutral palettes anymore, as so many of my palettes have neutrals in them, but this really does go above and beyond when it comes to neutral palettes and you definitely won't be disappointed if you pick it up!

All the Loves,
