Since Boots brought us back a reimagined 17 Cosmetics, I have tried quite a lot of their products as they are excellent value for money, there is a sizeable variety of products and most of them work really well. To celebrate the release of the new Mean Girls musical film, please welcome the 17 On Wednesdays We Wear Pink Collection, which retails for just £13.50! So fetch!
The 17 On Wednesdays We Wear Pink Collection comes in a pink, clear and black floral waterproof cosmetics bag, which can fit plenty of beauty products inside, and then six full sized products - bargainous! Firstly you get the 17 Melting Cream Blush in the shade 001 Pink Passion (RRP £4.00), which looks super neon in the pan, but blends out into the prettiest pop of pink you could wish for. The formula is infused with Jasmine Wax and Meadowfoam Seed Oil for a velvety finish and smoothness on the skin. You only need a small amount and I find that it wears very well without smudging or feeling oily on the skin. I also have this in another colour so it is definitely a favourite of mine.
If I was to recommend you trying two products from the full 17 collection, it would be their mascaras and the 17 Light Reflect Liquid Highlighter. This is the shade 020 Rose, which is a soft, pale champagne pink shade, and it really is beautiful and worth well beyond its £4.50 price tag. There are two other shades available, but this one is my favourite. You only need a tiny amount to highlight the skin, or add a few drops to your foundation or primer to enhance your natural complexion. The formula includes Shea Butter, which is moisturising on the skin and the shimmer throughout is just so stunning.
I also have a few of the 17 Creme Lip Lipsticks, as they are just £2.50 and there are plenty of shades to choose from including the one you get with this collection, shade 003 Dusty Rose. I like that the packaging colour reflects the lipstick colour for when you are rooting through your makeup drawer, and the easy glide-on formula gives the lips a natural to shiny finish with great coverage and pigment. This Lipstick is made with Castor Oil to keep the lips soft and smooth and this cool-toned pink will suit most complexions and colourings.
Need a lip liner to match? Fear not, the 17 Lip Define Pencil Soft Liner retails for just £2.50 and there are also many colour options to choose from. In this collection, you get the shade 005 Purple, which to me is a magenta pink colour, perfect for a bold lip. I don't always love pencil lip liners, but this applies to the lips really easily as the formula contains nourishing Vitamin E and Coconut Oil, making it soft and therefore it doesn't pull or drag on the sensitive lip line.
To keep all of your makeup in place, you have the 17 Dewy Prep Setting Spray (RRP £5.00 for 50ml), and if you have oily skin, they also have a Matte version which would work really well for you. This super lightweight glowy setting spray adds a subtle luminosity to the complexion whilst also helping to keep it in place throughout the day. The Spray is infused with Coconut Water for smooth-looking and hydrated skin, making it a really great product for the warmer months too, when you need to freshen up. Each and every one of these products are vegan and cruelty free.
Last, but not least, you also get the 17 High Rise Mascara in Black (RRP £4.00), which has a rubber bristle brush that bends to add volume and to extend every single lash from root to tip. As I mentioned earlier, I rate 17 mascaras highly, and one of my favourites is the 17 Extreme Extension Mascara, which you can read my review on here. The High Rise Mascara is a wet formula, so not at all drying on the lashes, and you don't need a gazillion coats either as the tiny silicone bristles manage to wiggle in-between each lash. It doesn't clump and I don't end up with panda eyes throughout the day either. I have quite sensitive eyes and I do wear contact lenses, this is ophthalmologically tested and so you shouldn't have any issues if this is the case with you too.
All in all, I think this is a really great set to pick up, it is worth £22.50, and that isn't even including the cosmetics bag, so you are saving £9.00 and you also get to try out a good variety of 17 products. I don't think this will be around for long, so make sure you pick up yours online here.
All the Loves,
Kathryn x
