The KIKO Milano 3D Hydra Lipgloss Review + Swatches - Shades 03, 05, 11

Saturday 10 February 2024

All over my social media I have been seeing the KIKO Milano 3D Hydra Lipglosses, literally every few posts on my Instagram feed have featured them. I used to get quite a lot of items from the brand but then they fell off of my radar, which is a shame as they create such wonderful collections. So, of course I ordered a few of the 3D Hydra Lipglosses to try out for myself...

The KIKO Milano 3D Hydra Lipgloss retails for £10.99 each for 6.5ml and there are 30 shades to choose from as well as some limited edition shades - you can get clear glosses, shimmery glosses, nudes, pinks, purples and reds, there is something for pretty much every taste and skin tone. The packaging of the lip glosses is very pleasing to the touch - sleek, smooth glossy tubes that come with a slanted precise sponge applicator for easy and quick application. I know a lot of people like those big chunky applicators, which I don't mind, but for those of us with fine, thin lips, the smaller ones are often more precise to use.

The shades I chose are 03, a peachy shade with silver micro glitter, 05 a pretty baby pink with silver and pink micro glitter and then 11, a bright pop of coral pink with gold shimmer. I tried to go for shades that looked a little different as I have so many nude lip glosses, and I am really happy with the three I selected as I ordered them online as my nearest KIKO store is an hour away. Shades 03 and 05 don't add that much colour to the lips, but 11 does for sure.

The name of the gloss, 3D Hydra, suggested to me it would perhaps contain an ingredient like Hyaluronic Acid, but when looking through the ingredient list, I couldn't see anything like that. However, the formula is comfortable to wear and not sticky or gloopy and you can't feel the micro glitter on the lips. I personally don't find them anymore hydrating than any other regular lip gloss formula, so I would bear that in mind if you are wanting something to hydrate the lips. Nor would I say they were 'glossier' than other lipglosses.

However, for a gloss, I find the formula stays on the lips a good amount of time, and it helps to smooth out the lips to help them look fuller. I love the range of shades available and I think for the price, they are a good option.

You can find the KIKO Milano 3D Hydro Lipglosses online at KIKO here.

All the Loves,
