REM Beauty often gets very overlooked, especially in the UK, but they have some amazing makeup products and I recently picked up the newly released REM Beauty Yours Truly Makeup Set, which has been created to celebrate the release of owner Ariana Grande's new album, yes, and?
The REM Beauty Yours Truly Makeup Set retails for £39.00, and comes with three full sized products, two of which are new shades and one which is an already popular shade. The theme is pink, but not Barbie pink - think delicate, soft pinks. It is a really great way to try out three products from the collection if you are new to REM Beauty and the products compliment each other beautifully.
Firstly, you have the REM Beauty Interstellar Highlighter Topper in the brand new shade Honeymoon High, which regularly retails for £24.00. The Highlighters come in a sleek matte silver compact with a mirror on the inside of the lid. This vegan formula is silky and creamy, even though it is a powder and melts into the skin for a dewy, luminous glow to the skin. The shade Honeymoon High is a peachy pink base with tiny flecks of pink glitter running throughout it. Her highlighters are so smooth on the skin and a little goes a long way. You could of course build this up and use it on the eyes too for a monochrome look.
Speaking of eyes, you also get the REM Beauty Midnight Shadows Lustrous Liquid Eyeshadow in the limited edition shade 1954, a full size worth £16.00. I have quite a few of these Liquid Eyeshadows as they are so different to others on the market and this shade 1954, is quite literally the highlighter but in liquid form - a pretty pinky peach with a pink glitter running through it. They dry down pretty quickly and are super lightweight and not at all heavy or uncomfortable on the eyelids, staying in place and not budging until you remove your makeup. You only need a small amount and they come with a fluffy, tapered teardrop applicator which allows you to get into the inner corners of your eyes. You could also use this on the lips I guess...
Or you could use the REM Beauty On Your Collar Plumping Lip Gloss in the shade Pink Razor, one of REM Beauty's best sellers (RRP £16.00). Pink Razor is a pink nude shade that is perfect for everyday wear and whilst the lip glosses aren't the largest of products, they come in a squeezy tube with a slanted tip for easy application. Infused with a blend of hydrating Passionfruit and Apricot Oils, this lightweight, non-sticky formula makes lips look fuller and gives a silky smooth, high-shine finish. Plumping actives provide an ultra-sensorial cooling and tingling sensation for the ultimate plumping effect, but not at all painful.
